Summer makes everything seem brighter, and visiting the beautiful sunflower farms in NJ is one activity that feels so happy. When you pick sunflowers or hang out in a sunflower garden in NJ, you can’t help but soak up their good vibes. Luckily, New Jersey is home to a bunch of sunflower farms, sunflower mazes, sunflower fields and sunflower festivals where you can bliss out from July into September (check with each farm to find out their peak blooming time). And while most let you pick stems, there are a few fields solely for snapping insta-worthy photos or getting lost in a maze among the blooms. North Jersey Sunflower Farms, Trails and Sunflower Mazes

Alstede Farms – Typically open from July-October
At Alstede Farms, you can take a tractor ride through the Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail, which is included with pick-your-own admission.

Brodhecker Farm – Typically available in August
Brodhecker Farm will have sunflowers blooming in August. Stop by the fields to admire and snap photos of the black oil seed beauties, which produce high-quality seeds and oil.

New Jersey Sunflower Trail at Von Thun Farms – Sunflower festivals are held in August
Kids will have a blast on the sunflower trail. Besides photo ops and picking, the farm features farm animals, activities, games, and a sunflower festival in August. The Sunflower Trail is ONLY available at their Washington, NJ, location – not their South Brunswick location.

Argos Farm – Sunflower Festival typically starts in August
Snap photos or snip sunflowers during the golden hour on the farm. While you are there, try some tasty treats on the farm, and the kids will love the attractions like the Cow Train Ride and the Bee Zipline.

Bullock Farms – Typically available from mid-September to Halloween
