Top-notch facilities
Under the leadership of Artistic Director Samantha Dunster, students at PBS will find their joy, spark, and creativity. “Through dance, students build confidence, discipline, and respect for process while finding their inner joy, resilience, and sense of self in ways that will remain with them for a lifetime,” says Dunster. PBS’s exceptional faculty, often accompanied by live pianists, provide expert instruction in a supportive and inspiring environment. Students can explore Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Body Conditioning, Pre-Professional Training, Private Lessons, Dance for Parkinson’s, Movement Classes for students with different abilities, Summer Programs and so much more.
A new Coaching Program
For 2026-2027, PBS is proud to launch a Coaching Program designed to prepare our dancers for the opportunity to participate in two of the most prestigious ballet competitions: Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and Universal Ballet Competition (UBC). This experience is an extension of the PBS educational mission, focused on personal growth, process, and meaningful stage experience.
Engage in performances
At Princeton Ballet School, the stage is an extension of the classroom. Throughout the year, students have exciting opportunities to perform in American Repertory Ballet productions, including the chance to appear in the beloved holiday tradition, The Nutcracker. See your child shine on stage at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, Two River Theater in Red Bank, and State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick with a live orchestra and choir. Students also have the opportunity to perform in Princeton Ballet School’s annual Spring Performance, celebrating their growth, artistry, and achievements throughout the year.
