RWJBarnabas Health is teaming up with the New Jersey Devils to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the annual Running with the Devils 5K Run and Walk on November 1. Once again, you can choose to race at your own pace—sign up to run the 5K or the Wellness Walk live November 1, or participate virtually starting October 1. Plus, there’s a bonus to all participants you can’t pass up—FREE entry to the Turtle Back Zoo. All proceeds from the event will support RWJBarnabas Health’s commitment to providing essential care to communities across New Jersey, including Behavioral Health Services, Cancer Care, Children’s Health, Digestive Health, Emergency Medicine, Heart and Vascular, Neurosciences, Nursing Education, Orthopedics, and Women’s Health. Choose how you want to participate

This annual event supports RWJBarnabas Health and the NJ Devils’ commitment to work towards a healthier community by promoting healthy, active lifestyles and world-class healthcare. There are two ways to participate—attend the Live 5K Run & Walk on Sunday, November 1, or go virtual. The virtual format offers the option to run or walk around your neighborhood, a local park, or even on a treadmill from October 1 to November 1 using the RunGo App. Virtual runners and walkers are also eligible for prizes. Either way, you’ll get FREE access to Turtle Back Zoo—virtual participants can go anytime between November 2 and December 30, and live participants get free access on race day (November 1).

Be a part of the fun

Ready to feel healthier and support healthier communities around NJ? Both the competitive 5K Run and the Wellness Walk are on the scenic routes of Cherry Lane and the reservoir at South Mountain Recreation Complex. The race and walk start at 9 AM. Got young kids who tire out quickly? You can bring a stroller for the race or walk. And when you register and fundraise (you can start now!), you’ll get perks like tickets to New Jersey Devils games, signed merchandise, and meet-and-greets with alumni.

Get a jump-start on fundraising and mark your calendars: registration is now open for the RWJ Barnabas Running With The Devils 5K Run and Walk, both live and virtual. Participation costs $30-$40 (children 11 and under are FREE), and once registered, you can start fundraising for your team now. And new this year: Walkers and runners will begin at the same time (walkers will also receive a bib and line up behind the runners). Check-in and on-site registration open at 7:00 AM and close promptly at 8:45 AM to ensure the race starts on time. T-shirts and participation medals will be distributed to the first 2,000 registered runners and walkers, and T-shirt size requests cannot be guaranteed. Keep in mind that this event occurs during Daylight Saving Time, so remember to turn your clocks back one hour.
