Kid-Friendly Things To Do In Camden County

Adventure Aquarium
Camden County is home to Adventure Aquarium, long considered the best aquarium in NJ. And for good reason—they are the only aquarium in the world that has hippos residing in it. But there are more unique species and exotics, too, including the Little Blue Penguins (aka the “cutest penguins ever”), the largest shark collection in the Northeast, and a thrilling suspension rope bridge where those sharks swim beneath. Don’t miss the special events throughout the year, including mermaid swims, pumpkin carvings, Santa visits, and more.

The best part? Climbing through different levels of the vessel while learning about the sailors who once served there (you see the bunks where they actually slept). In the summer, make sure you head there to see gorgeous fireworks lighting up the night sky.
