Choose your own relaxing experience at SoJo Spa Club
SoJo Spa Club stands out not only for its immersive experience—the sleek white decor, marble and teak accents, and tropical landscaping with waterfalls and pools make you feel like you’re on a tropical vacay—but also for the one-of-a-kind treatments and experiences. Pick from amenities like the Ice Room with cryotherapy and Hot Stone Beds to increase blood circulation and improve skin tone. Like sweating it out in a sauna? SoJo Spa Club has eight unique rooms, all with various skin and health benefits. Opt for the White Clay, a healing natural mud that stimulates the lymphatic system, or go for the Red Clay, imported from Korea and known to help with sleep and digestion. Or unwind in the pink-hued Himalayan Salt Sauna, where salt brick walls resemble a natural salt cave, promoting clean air that invigorates and refreshes the respiratory system.
Take a Volcanic Sand Bath or try a holistic treatment
Beach lovers take note—at SoJo Spa Club, experience an authentic Volcanic Sand Bath where you hang in the sand, soaking up all the benefits of the Japanese tradition of sand bathing. This treatment—the only one of its kind in the U.S.—uses volcanic sands imported from Japan, which have naturally alkaline, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties beneficial to the skin. Sand, not your thing? With a diverse menu of East/West treatments, you can find the usual, like a Deep Muscle Massage, or holistic ones like Acupressure Therapy, where you can choose between 30, 60, or 90-minute sessions rooted in ancient Chinese healing, including reflexology and a Japanese shiatsu massage.
Recharge with a bite to eat at SoJo Spa Club
Hungry after all the relaxing? SoJo Spa Club’s Food Hall has a bunch of choices, whether a traditional Ramen dish with chicken or veggies or a refreshing Kale Caesar Salad. There are also sandwiches, thin-crust pizzas, and rice dishes. When the weather is warm, head to the outdoor grill on the 7th floor, where you can relax, overlooking the Hudson River, with freshly grilled meat and seafood dishes. And for a drink or sweets any time of year, head to the outdoor Infinity Lounge by the pool with slushies and ice cream in the summer and hot chocolate and coffee in the winter.
Take a dip in one of the heated pools or baths
Regardless of the weather or season, the thermal pools and baths at SoJo Spa are open year-round. In a space all its own, the Infinity Pool offers gorgeous panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, and the water stays balmy at 96-105 degrees year-round. After floating in this pool, head to the open-air hydrotherapy pool and hot tubs for an invigorating soak with a tropical feel, taking in stunning NYC views. There is also a Hinoki Bath with a soothing lemon fragrance, a natural antibacterial oil, and a Carbon-rich Bath that boasts a high concentration of natural carbon dioxide to increase blood oxygen levels and improve circulation. The newest addition to SoJo Spa is the Silk Bath, a 105-degree bath that uses state-of-the-art Japanese white ionization technology to infuse hot spring micro-bubbles, revitalizing skin and putting you in a deep, relaxed state.
