Adventure Aquarium
Camden County is home to Adventure Aquarium, long considered the best aquarium in NJ. And for good reason—they are the only aquarium in the world that has hippos residing in it. But there are more unique species and exotics, too, including the Little Blue Penguins (aka the “cutest penguins ever”), the largest shark collection in the Northeast, and a thrilling suspension rope bridge where those sharks swim beneath. Don’t miss the special events throughout the year, including mermaid swims, pumpkin carvings, Santa visits, and more.
1 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08103

Battleship New Jersey
Packed with history and hands-on adventure, Battleship New Jersey is one of those places you have to visit at least once. As you make your way through the massive ship, kids can discover restored living quarters, command centers, gun turrets, and interactive exhibits that show what daily life aboard a battleship was really like. The best part? Climbing through different levels of the vessel while learning about the sailors who once served there (you see the bunks where they actually slept). In the summer, make sure you head there to see gorgeous fireworks lighting up the night sky.
62 Battleship Place, Camden, NJ 08103

Clementon Park & Splash World
If your family loves water slides and amusement rides, Clementon Park & Splash World has something for everyone. Let the kids explore Shipwreck Bay and Laguna Kahuna, get the blood pumping on Torpedo Rush and Sky River Rapids, or cool down on the Lazy River and Big Wave Bay. When you are ready to dry off, head to Clementon Park to experience kid-friendly rides, including the Vintage Carousel, Railway, and Giant Ferris Wheel.
144 Berlin Road, Clementon, NJ 08021

Collingswood
Stroll along Haddon Avenue, where you’ll find locally owned shops, family-friendly restaurants, and plenty of sweet treats to enjoy. Little ones will love exploring the parks and playgrounds, while you can browse boutiques or visit during one of the town’s seasonal festivals and community events. With its walkable downtown and welcoming atmosphere, it’s one of the best small towns in Camden County for families looking to spend an afternoon together.

Cooper River Park
Stretching for miles along the scenic Cooper River, this Camden County park features walking and biking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and open green spaces where kids can run and play. If your crew loves being on the water, rent a paddleboat or just kick back and take in the stunning waterfront views.

Diggerland USA
Trucks that kids can climb on and ride? Yes, please. At Diggerland USA, a construction-themed amusement park, kids can ride, drive, and operate real heavy machinery, from excavators to dump trucks, in a safe and interactive environment. While you’re there, hop on thrilling rides, take on a ropes course, and splash around in the seasonal water park where you can cool off on hot days. Don’t miss the Fall  Festival in September or the Light Show during the holidays.
100 Pineedge Drive, West Berlin, NJ 08091

Edelman Fossil Park and Museum at Rowan University
Got kids who love dinosaurs? Located above a quarry filled with 66-million-year-old marine and terrestrial fossils, this museum exhibits the final moments of the dinosaur world. Check out the interactive exhibit galleries, scavenger hunts, full-scale reconstructions, free-roaming virtual reality, and hands-on exploration that bring the prehistoric creatures to life. You will even be able to watch an active paleontological excavation at a fossil site to see how scientists search for dinosaurs and fossils.
66 Million Mosasaur Way, Mantua Township, NJ 08080

Edelman Planetarium
Sit back, relax, and look up at the 360-degree digital sky. The immersive experience has an ever-changing roster of shows, some timed to rock music (Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon, anyone?) and other, shorter programs geared towards young kids. During their open house hours, you can stargaze and view the real night sky through their telescopes.

Haddonfield
A visit to Haddonfield combines history, shopping, and family fun in one charming downtown. Stroll along Kings Highway to browse toy stores, bookstores, and candy shops before stopping for lunch. Make sure you visit Pennypacker Park to learn about the discovery of “Haddy,” the world’s first nearly complete dinosaur skeleton, or tour the historic Indian King Tavern Museum.

Johnson’s Corner Farm
Seasonal fun, fresh produce, and gorgeous views? Yes, please. The Fall Harvest weekends at Johnson’s Corner Farm feature live music, a family-friendly corn maze, gem mining, apple, gourd, and pumpkin-picking hayrides, and a food tent, all of which are perfect when the weather starts getting chilly. They also have spring hayrides, summer camp, and strawberries, blueberries, and peaches available for picking from mid-May to July, along with fall options like pick-your-own pumpkins and sweet potatoes.
133 Church Road, Medford, NJ 08055

Timber Creek Park
Spend the day exploring the outdoors at Timber Creek Park, with trails for walking and biking, as well as open fields ideal for picnics or games, and opportunities to spot local wildlife. The park is also home to one of the largest off-leash dog parks in Camden County, making it a favorite for pet owners. It’s peaceful and quiet, making it a gorgeous spot to slow down and be together with the family.
236 Taylor Avenue & Chews Landing Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012

Wiggins Waterfront Park
Wiggins Waterfront Park is a great place to slow down and enjoy beautiful views of the Delaware River with the whole family. Take a stroll along the waterfront promenade, relax on the open lawn, or let the kids burn off energy while watching boats pass by. You can enjoy concerts, festivals, and community events throughout the year that bring the waterfront to life.
