There are only 150+ days until summer (but hey, we’re not counting or anything), and while the weather is still under 40 degrees, it’s a good time to plan what your kids will do during their time off. There’s no denying how awesome a camp experience can be—it’s a space where kids can grow and blossom in a stress-free environment, meet new friends, and try novel things. Celebrate innovation this summer at Montclair Kimberley Academy’s new STEM + Explorers program

As we mark 250 years of American independence, we also celebrate the incredible scientific and technological progress that has shaped our world. STEM + Explorers invites middle school students to step into that legacy by building the skills needed to solve today’s—and tomorrow ’s—challenges. Each morning, students dive into hands-on classes that strengthen key 21st century skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. They’ll explore cutting-edge tools, creative problem-solving strategies, and the foundational knowledge that drives modern innovation. In the afternoon, full-day students put their learning into action. Working collaboratively, they take on weekly design challenges inspired by real issues facing communities around the globe—from sustainability to engineering to emerging technologies. These projects empower students to think critically, innovate boldly, and see their ideas come to life. The program runs July 6 through July 31, 2026, for rising 6th through rising 9th-graders. Families may enroll students for either the full-day experience or morning-only classes. SPARK Day Camp

SPARK Day Camp is for PreK to 10th graders, June 22-August 21. Camp day runs from 9 AM-4 PM with extended hours from 8 am-6 pm. Lunch & snack are provided. Door-to-door transportation is available.
