With the holiday season in full swing, a winter market is the best way to get in a festive mood and sneak in a little shopping too. Take the family on a trip to one or more of these truly special and seasonal spots: Try some wassail at the Pitman Winter Village, decorate gingerbread cookies at Duffield’s Farm & Market and experience an authentic Weihnachtsmärkte (German Market) at Lake Mohawk.

Peruse the aisles at the iconic Convention Hall for the best regional artists, vendors, and shops selling art, jewelry, home goods and food gifts. After, catch live music performances from local musicians and enjoy seasonally inspired food and drink. Littles can visit with Santa or take part in a festive holiday craft workshop while you shop for gifts. Plus, there will be free holiday parking around the town every weekend leading up to Christmas.

The Lake Mohawk boardwalk is home to the largest annual German Christmas market in the state, complete with a biergarten, food market, folk dancers and live music. Tuckerton Seaport’s Annual Christkindlmarkt

Tuckerton Seaport’s Annual Christkindlmarkt celebrates the traditions of the season with a Holiday Market and Craft Fair under a huge heated tent. Hop on a horse-drawn carriage ride, shop the craft fair, grab a snack from the food trucks and sip on craft cocktails. Bonus: Bring a new unwrapped toy and ride the Trackless Train for free! The train will be operating noon-3PM on Saturday and Sunday.
