Happy 4th of July Weekend, NJMOMs and little ones!

Celebrate the holiday as a family with fireworks, food, and fun at Lake Hopatcong’s Annual Fireworks Shore or Keansburg’s 4th of July Family Fun Fest, or spend some time outdoors at Chester’s TACO Palooza or Margate’s Annual Beachstock, plus many more family-friendly events happening throughout New Jersey on this holiday weekend.

1. Leonia Sports Boosters Carnival
June 28th – July 8th, 2018
Enjoy midway rides for all ages, carnival games, favorite fair food and Fourth of July fireworks at this family-friendly annual event benefiting local competitive youth sports. Carnival parking and admission are free. Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for $30, or $20 if purchased online by June 27. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. Rides take 2 or more tickets each. Visit the website for coupon savings on rides and food. Carnival hours are 5 to 11 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and noon to 11 pm Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. The July 4th fireworks display will start at 9:30 pm. 2. Wall Fair

The Wall Fair has plenty of entertainment for the whole entire family. There will be a live DJ, a special rendition of Wall Idol Competition, fireworks on Sunday, a magician, and pony and hayrides.

3. NJ State Fair Meadowlands
Now Through July 8th, 2018
The State Fair at the Meadowlands is calling families from all over NJ to take part in one of the biggest celebrations of summer fun! The event will feature over 150 rides and attractions!. To add to all of the festivities, there will be plenty of FREE Entertainment such as: The Steve Bayner Hypnotist Show (Main Stage); Rosaire’s Royal Racing Pigs (Main Midway); Open-Air Thrill Show; High Dive Show; Commerford’s Educational Petting Zoo (Main Midway): Open during Fair hours Animal rides are available, but are not free.

4. Lake Hopatcong Fireworks
Friday, June 29, 2018 from 9:15PM to 10:30PM
Hosted by the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, this elegant display of fireworks is a yearly event families from all around New Jersey look forward to. The show typically begins at 9:15pm, as well as the opening of the fuel dock will be open late for your convenience.

5. Jersey Shore Greek Festival
June 29th – July 1st, 2018

This Jersey Shore Greek Festival features authentic Greek food and pastries prepared by community parishioners from recipes handed down over generations. In addition there will be Games and Rides, Greek Folk Dancing , Religious Gifts, Books, and Icons Greek Food Store and activities for children with a Little Kids Playground.

6. Beachstock
Saturday, June 30th, 2018; 8:00AM to 10:00PM
Beachstock 2018 returns to the Margate Beach Saturday, June 30 with new activities, new music and new performances. Children and adults can learn to limbo and hula with professional dancers from the South Pacific Island Dancers and unwind with Yoga presented by the Milton and Betty Katz Jewish Community Center. New musical attractions at the eighth annual installment of this 14-hour event include non-stop music on the 100.7 WZXL main stage by Matt Santry, DJ Jason E and The British Invasion Experience. Food is a highlight at Beachstock where guests can enjoy a wide variety of mouth watering fare.

7. Annual Asbury Park Promenade of Mermaids
Saturday, June 30th, 2018; 10:00AM to 5:00PM (Parade beings at 2:00PM)
On June 30th the Mermaids hit the boards to shake their tails and strut their stuff! The littles will love seeing these beautiful and creative mermaids hanging out on the boardwalk. There will also be mermaid related vendors at the convention center from 10am to 5pm!

8. Taco Palooza

Hold on to your Sombreros and get ready to shake your Maracas! TACO PALOOZA is rolling into Chester, NJ on June 30, 2018! A Benefit for the Historic Chester Business Association & I love Chester, NJ & Chester First Aid Squad. This is a fun event for kids AND adults! The event features Food Trucks, Restaurants, Chefs and Variety of Beer, Sangria & Margaritas, Kids activities, a Mechanical Bull , Vendors and great LIVE Music! There will also be a Peoples Choice Awards for Best Taco & Most Unique Taco. Plus Contests for both the adults & children.

9. Keansburg Independence Day Family Fun Fest

Keansburg’s Family Fun Fest for 4th of July invites all families that come by car, foot, or boat to this jam-packed event on the beach. There will be free kayak and paddleboarding, volleyball, hot dog & watermelon contest, food vendors, and so much more! There will be musical performances throughout the day and a screening of Jaws on the beach at Dusk!

10. Freedom Festival

12. Allaire Village’s Independence Day Celebration

The members of the Howell Iron Works celebrate the founding of our nation with the Independence Day Celebration. Experience a day in the life of people during the 1830s. The school master will be holding lessons for visitors and villagers alike. Participate in militia drills and a parade. The Declaration of Independence will be read at 1pm in front of the General Store. Make sure your family celebrates their American pride with this unique event open for all.

15. Sunday in the Park With the Symphony
Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 8:00PM to 10:00PM
The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra wants to come to your backyard and perform an open-air concert for free. Families are encouraged to join many other attendees at Marine Park with its stunning views of the Navesink River, and soak in the magnificent sounds of the NJSO. The symphony’s performance is so unique because it comes with their very own truck that converts into a mobile stage, with complete with sound, lighting and all the trimmings. Families can lay back in the grass or bring a lawn chair and take in this marvelous concert in a breathtaking setting. Concert-goers are also encouraged to spend the day walking around Red Bank and take advantage of the many happenings around town. Families can shop in unique boutiques, take advantage of special menus at various restaurants & eateries or grab take-out and create a picnic, and then head over to marine park to enjoy the sounds of the symphony.
