Bring your family down to New Jersey’s pinkest park! Bloomest 2017 at the Essex County Branch Brook park encourages everyone to take part in a live event featuring Japanese cultural demonstrations, live music, a marketplace, food, and much more. Bloomfest also assures parents that there will be a “Fun Zone” for their kids, which showcases hula hoopers, face painting, and a petting farm! Event goers are also encouraged to view the festival map ahead of time to plan your day so no event gets missed!

2. Earth Day Festival at Liberty State Park

The Earth Day Festival at Liberty State Park kicks off its daylong celebration at 10am with the Annual 5K Run/Walk followed by Kid’s Kingdom and the Earth Day Fair. Also be sure your family catches the Main Stage performances which includes: Envirojuggler, Michael & the Rockness Monsters and The Field Station: Dinosaurs! To add, there will also be arts and crafts activities, kite flying, face painting, and inflatable rides!

3. Fast Tracks & Food Trucks

*Food Truck area is open from 12pm to 7pm both days and the wine sampling is open from 1pm to 5pm both days*
The 4th annual Fast Tracks and Food Trucks festival is back with 15 food trucks all with mouth-watering treats! On top of the delectable food items, there will be live music from Alex English on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm and the Stealing Savannah on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. To give you a little taste, some food trucks that will be showcased are: My Four Suns (Authentic Korean-fusion cuisine), Sweet Lavender (Simple yet sophisticated desserts), Oink and Moo BBQ (American BBQ and Tex-Mex), and The Flying Pie Guy (Hand held savory Aussie pies), There will be something for every member in your family to enjoy!

The ACUA Earth Day Festival at Environmental Park will be showcasing an array of interactive activities for kids. Local vendors, great food, and live entertainment are just the tip of the iceberg, not to mention they are back for their 27th Festival! Along with the great food and live entertainment, there will be a 4H Petting Zoo, programs like The Turtlesinger (An interactive program and where you will learn about, touch and feed live turtles), and Touch a Truck (Get up close to one of ACUA’s recycling trucks and learn how they work from one of our collection professionals).
