Fresh produce, a family-friendly farm, and a fall festival—what more could you ask for from a farm? Lentini Farms in Newton, NJ, started in 1971 when Anthony V. Lentini Jr sold watermelon on the side of Route 206, and today, it’s morphed into 1,000 acres of produce, grain, corn, and loads of family agro-tainment fun. While Lentini Farms is open for picking during the season, the farm fun ramps up during the Fall Festival, featuring hayrides, live music, food trucks, and a pumpkin patch that turns haunted and spooky at dusk. You can also scoop up their fresh produce at their farmstands—scroll down to get all the details on what to do this fall at Lentini Farms, one of our favorite family-friendly farms in NJ. Find Family Fun And Festive Fall Activities At Lentini Farms

Get festive this fall
Good news if you have active kids who like to take off on their own—Lentini Farms keeps most of its Fall Festival activities centralized, so it’s easy to keep an eye on the whole family. Conveniently nestled under the well-lit picnic area is a corn pit tucked away in their party tent, which is a great place to let the littles loose, and bonus, there is a pumpkin patch. The iconic 10-acre corn maze is fun for kids and adults who are up for a challenge. Travel through the maze, and once you make it through, make sure you go to The Harvest Moon Booth and ask about their s’more kits for purchase to use at dusk at one of the brick fire pits scattered throughout the property. Afterward, take a scenic hayride throughout the farm that will drop you off at the pumpkin patch to bring home one to carve. Looking for a fun snap to include on your holiday cards? Strike a pose at the Photo Op wagon in front of the U-pick pumpkin field. During their Fall Festival, a revolving fleet of local food trucks arrives every weekend, so grab a bite while you listen and dance to live music. Kids can visit the hay tower with a tunnel, play corn hole, go through a tire crawl, relax by the fire pits, and check out the resident farm animals. And during sunflower season, there’s also a field bursting with happy, yellow flowers.

Stay for the scares
Nighttime at Lentini Farms is magical and a little spooky. Enjoy live music by the fire pit, take a hayride during golden hour, and see the overlook tower in the middle of the corn maze illuminated with solar lights. From 7 PM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, older kids and adults will want to get ready for some serious scares on a haunted hayride throughout the farm. If you dare, The Nighttime Terror Package includes general admission, a chance to enjoy the farm all day, and the haunted hayride—BOO!

Fill’er up with a stop at the food trucks and farm stands.
Food at Lentini Farms is part of the fun, since the farm hosts a bunch of local food trucks each weekend during the fall. One food you won’t want to miss is their seasonal Apple Cider Slushie, topped with an apple cider donut and vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle. Or stop by the Circle Restaurant (next to the farm) to try the Peach, Sweet Corn, and Pumpkin Ice Cream made with ingredients picked on Lentini Farm. For adult beverages, check out the brew trucks, like the Milk Street Distillery from Branchville, NJ, Invertase Brewery from Phillipsburg, NJ, and Angry Erik’s, a popular local brewery. The Band Stage is near the food trucks, so you can kick back with a cider or brew and enjoy live music every weekend.
