Essex County Treetop Adventure Course
Hear a lion roar in the distance as you glide along this 40-foot-tall zipline next to the Turtle Back Zoo. Beginners to experts will find a thrilling adventure with an adult course, junior course, and zip line for ages 6 and up. Though the course has a separate entrance from the zoo (and a separate admission charge), it’s worth stopping before making your way home.

FLG X Adventure Course
Test your limits and get up to 50 feet off the ground, with courses color-coded from beginner to more adventurous, higher-elevation options. Along each one, you will experience swings, bridges, slides, nets, and ziplines (don’t miss the thrilling aerial surfboard). For kids ages 9-11, there’s a lower course filled with suspended surprises, where kids work together to develop courage, trust, and respect.

Adult courses, night climbs, and a kids’ park are just a few fun adventures you can have with the fam in Mountain Creek. The wooden platforms high in the trees are connected by rope walks, obstacles, and ziplines, making for a challenging afternoon. Kids new to climbing will love the dedicated kids’ park, where they can use the harness and carabiner system as an aid. If you’re looking for an adult night out, consider a night climb available every Saturday night, and then grab drinks at the clubhouse afterward.

Zipline Tours at Mountain Creek
See the tri-state area from a new perspective at Mountain Creek. Start with a Cabriolet to the mountaintop, then take a zipline ranging from 200 feet to 1,500 feet long while you are suspended high above the lake. All guests must be 60 pounds and 48 inches tall.

Raiders Ark – Playland’s Castaway Cove
The whole family can make their way through this obstacle course that takes you on ropes, bridges, and zig-zags, going up as high as some of the rides on the boardwalk. Finish off the adventure by sliding down the vast, tunneled slide and landing back on the boards. Kids must be 42″ to go alone and 36″ with an adult.
