1. Six Flags Great Adventure Season Opener

You may have spent much of winter in hibernation, but now everyone’s favorite adventure theme park in NJ will be opening for the 2018 season on March 24 and 25, and you won’t want to miss it. Head to the park for a thrilling day and enjoy oldies but goodies like El Toro, Kingda Ka, Nitro, BATMAN: The Ride and more. You will also be one of the first to check out the newest rides being constructed at the park.

Have a fun night with friends while learning something new. Club Cool Kids is an awesome children’s program created by All Things Are Possible Foundation, which offers developmental programs with a focus on academics, athletics, and arts. 5. Singer-Songwriter Weekend
Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, 2018 | 10:00AM
Does your family love to jam together and discover new artists? You’re in luck because the 2018 Singer-Songwriter Weekend will bring over 150 musical talents to Cape May this weekend. Following music conference panels and discussions in the afternoon, you can bring your family to 18 live music venues around Cape May to hear FREE showcase performances starting at 7:00PM on both days. 9. Astronomy Day 2018

Stargazers and space lovers will geek out over Morris Museum’s Astronomy Day. You and your family will be enlightened after hearing cool guest speaker topics like “Exploring our Invisible Universe on NASA’s SOFIA” and “Everything You Need to Know to Fly to Mars.” There is also a telescope training and clinic that will include a meteorite display, telescope display, and solar and night sky observing (weather permitting). 10. Roselle Park High School Food Truck Festival

You can’t live a full life on an empty stomach – so head to the Food Truck Festival at Roselle Park High School this weekend and make things right. 11. Junior Ranger Animal Tracking

12. Empty Bowls

Be a soup-er hero and help Hightstown Cultural Arts Commission and Rise Food Pantry fight hunger. This nourishing event is part of Empty Bowls, an international artist grassroots effort to raise money in the fight to end hunger. Guests choose a bowl handmade by a local artist to fill with unlimited soup donated by area eateries, and keep the bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. 14. Read and Explore: Getting Ready for Spring

St. Paddy’s Day is the traditional day to plant peas and spinach, so head to Terhune Orchards to learn how to get your garden spring-ready. The farm’s Read and Explore Program introduces a seasonal topic each month through a storytime followed by a hands-on, educational activity. The Jungle Book will be on stage at the Broadway Theatre in Pitman bringing you the adventures of the boy-cub Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by wolves.
