Turtle Back Zoo resident groundhog Essex Ed and his pal Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring – so it’s time to celebrate (clinks NJMOM coffee mugs). After a long winter, it’s no surprise we’re always extra excited to get back outdoors to our regularly scheduled #NJMOM adventuring. Turtle Back Zoo in Essex County is one of our favorites year-round (it’s open 362 days!) – but there’s just something special about spring at Turtle Back Zoo that makes us all feel like children at heart. With over 200 species representing 800 animals from around the globe, plan your all-day outing or discover one of the zoo’s educational and interactive children’s activities.
Psst! We love sharing your adventures around New Jersey. Don’t forget to hashtag #NJMOM and tag @njmom and your little cuties could be featured in our next photo round-up.
