Summer is here and we’re gearing up for days spent at the shore. So before you make plans and head down the parkway, knowing where and when to get your NJ beach badge is a must. Luckily, 2024 is making it easier than ever to go to New Jersey beaches, thanks to many beaches offering an online app (no more lines!) and a streamlined process. Also good to note—quite a few Jersey Shore beaches don’t require a badge for kids 12 and under (which means they are free). Beach Badges for New Jersey Beaches for Summer 2024

Monmouth County
- Beaches are free
- Daily parking fees: $20, $50 for oversized vehicles
- Seasonal parking fees: $100, $200 for oversized vehicles
Purchase parking passes at Recreation.gov, Lighthouse Keepers Quarters, or at the Entrance Station.
- Daily badges: $8
- Seasonal badges: $100
Purchase beach badges on your mobile device through Viply or at the Beach Office, 1097 Ocean Avenue.
Middletown Township / Leonardo Beach Badges
- Beaches are free
- Daily badges: $12
- Seasonal badges: $100
Purchase badges at the Bathing Pavilion, 29 Ocean Avenue, or through Community Pass here.
- Daily badges: Monday-Friday $6, $3 daily for ages 14-17
- Weekend/Holiday badges: $9
- Seasonal badges: $70, $30 (students 14-17)
- Free for 13 and under, 62+, and disabled individuals
This is for municipal beaches only and does not apply to Seven Presidents (North of Seaview Avenue). Purchase your daily badges at 231 Wilbur Ray Ave. (Recreation) or 344 Broadway (Tax Collectors); starting May 25, seasonal badges are only available at the Beach Office.
- Daily badges: $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends and holidays; children under 12 are free
- Seasonal badges are not available
Daily badges can be purchased through Viply or at the end of Cedar Ave. at Ocean Place or Allen Ave.
- Daily badges: $10 for Monday through Thursday excluding holidays, $12 for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays
- Seasonal badges: $110 for ages 12+, $80 for senior citizens
Badges can be purchased at Village Beach Gatehouse, Euclid Avenue, Ocean Place.
- Daily badges: $6 Monday through Friday, $10 for Saturday, Sunday, and holidays
- Seasonal badges: $70 for adults ages 18-61, $20 for teens ages 13-17, $20 for 62+ with valid ID, and 12 and under are free
Badges can be purchased on Viply at the Beach Office (starting May 1), at the 7th Avenue Beach Booth (beginning Memorial Day weekend), or at Credit Card Kiosks along the Boardwalk or Ticket Booths on Asbury Avenue, Second Avenue, Third Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, and Seventh Avenue.
Ocean Grove/Neptune Township Beach Badges
- Daily badges: $12
- Season badges: Regular $95, $50 (Ages 12 through 17), and Senior Citizens
Visit VIPLY to purchase a beach badge, purchase through the mail or in person at the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Office at 54 Pitman Avenue.
- Daily badges: Daily rate for 2024 to be determined at a later date; ages 12 and under free
- Seasonal badges: $85 for ages 16 and older, $37 for ages 65 and older, $37 for ages 13-15, 12 and under are free

- Daily badges: $4 weekdays and $5 weekends and holidays for ages 5-11, $13 weekdays and $14 weekends and holidays for ages 12 and older
- Half/Full seasonal badges: $35/$55 for ages 5 through 11, $95/$130 for ages 12 and older, $95 for ages 65 and older
Daily badges can be purchased at any open beach gate.
- Daily badges: $12 cash only
- Season badges: $110, half-season $60
