Summer is coming and we’re gearing up for days spent at the shore. So before you make plans and head down the parkway, knowing where and when to get your NJ beach badge is a must. Luckily, 2026 is making it easier than ever to visit New Jersey beaches, thanks to many beaches offering an app (no more lines!) and a streamlined process. Also good to note—quite a few Jersey Shore beaches don’t require a badge for kids 12 and under (which means they are free). Beach Badges for New Jersey Beaches for Summer 2026
Monmouth County
- Daily badges: $12 on weekdays and $15 on weekends and holidays; children under 12 are free
- Seasonal badges are not available
Daily gate locations are at Cedar Avenue and Allen Avenue.
- Daily badges: $7 Monday through Friday, $10 for Saturday, Sunday, and holidays
- Seasonal badges: $70 for adults ages 18-61, $20 for teens ages 13-17, $20 for 62+ with a valid ID, and those 12 and under are free
Badges can be purchased online on April 1 and in person starting May 1 at the Beach Office (1st Avenue and the Boardwalk) or starting Memorial Day weekend at the 7th Avenue Beach Booth.
- Daily badges: $13
- Seasonal badges: $110 for ages 19-64, $65 for ages 65 and over, $65 for ages 12-18; 11 and under are free
Badges will be available in the spring at the borough office. Once the season starts, seasonal badges and daily wristbands can only be purchased at the Sylvania Avenue, Washington Avenue, and Norwood Avenue tag booths.
- Daily badges: $12
- Seasonal badges: $80 for ages 15 through 64, $32 for ages 65 and older; 13 and under are free

- Daily badges: $14; ages 12 and under are free.
- Seasonal badges: $90 for ages 16 and older, $35 for ages 65 and older, $35 for ages 13-15; 12 and under are free.

- Daily badges: $10 for Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays, $15 for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays
- Seasonal badges: $150 for ages 12+, $100 for senior citizens
Badges can be purchased at the Village Beach Gatehouse, Euclid Avenue, and Ocean Place.
- Daily badges: Monday-Friday $6, $9 weekends and holidays, $3 daily for ages 14-17
- Seasonal badges: $70, $30 (students 14-17)
- Free for 13 and under, 62+, and disabled individuals
Daily passes are for municipal beaches only and are available at the point of entry; annual passes are available at the Beach Office.
- Daily badges: $12 for adults and kids over 12
- Seasonal badges: $45 for kids 12-16, $90 for ages 17 and older, and $35 for ages 65 and older
Daily badges can be purchased at one of the 7 beach locations (Sea Watch, Riddle Way, Main Beach, Brielle Rd, Pompano, Whiting, and Inlet). Seasonal badges are available via CommunityPass or the Main Beach Office.
Middletown Township / Leonardo Beach Badges
- Beaches are free
- Daily badges: $15
- Seasonal badges: $110

Ocean Grove/Neptune Township Beach Badges
- Daily badges: $13
- Season badges: Regular $105, $54 (Ages 12 through 17), and Senior Citizens
Purchase badges online, by mail, or in person at the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Office through May 21, and beginning May 23, badges can be purchased at the beach office on the Ocean Grove Boardwalk.
- Beaches are free
- Daily parking fees: $20, $50 for oversized vehicles
- Seasonal parking fees: $100, $200 for oversized vehicles

Badges are available in the Brick Township Recreation Office at 270 Chambers Bridge Road.

- Seasonal badges only: Before May 31: $10 for 12 years old and up, June 1: $20 for all badges, $3.50 for ages 65+
