The Bluebird Farm Alpacas are ringing in the year of the Monkey at the Chinese New Year Celebration. On February 6th, you and your little ones have the chance to meet, greet, feed, and photograph with these friendly animals. There will also be a chance to win some prizes at the event.

2. Winter Waterfowl Walk

Take a stroll through Liberty State Park with the nature center staff to witness the birds of winter. The Waterfowl are a magnificent flock of birds that call Liberty State Park their home during the winter season. Not only will you be able to observe these wonderful birds, you will also get a glimpse of the beautiful Hudson River.

3. Build a Valentine’s Mailbox

Ever wondered what a Valentine’s mailbox would look like? The professionals at Home Depot are holding a wonderful, hands-on event at all participating stores to create a Valentine’s Mailbox for your child’s Valentine’s day cards.
Event will be taking place at any participating Home Depot.

4. Lunar New Year and Welcome Spring Festival
Sunday, February 7th, 2016 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Experience the joys of watching a festive parade march through the woods, attend an animal show, take part in the many and games, and help the community in welcoming spring at the Lunar New Year and Welcome Spring Festival. Join the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary in Spring festivities to celebrate the time of the year when the groundhog makes weather predictions and the Lunar New Year marks the start of a new cycle. Make sure to pre-register and come dressed for outside weather.
