1. Preview Night at State Fair Meadowlands
Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00PM to 12:00AM
The State Fair at the Meadowlands is calling families from all over NJ to take part in one of the biggest celebrations of summer fun! The event will feature over 150 rides and attractions, over 50 food vendors, and will kicks off with a special preview night on Thursday, June 22 with special discount ticket offers for fairgoers of all ages. To add to all of the festivities, there will be plenty of FREE Entertainment such as: The Steve Bayner Hypnotist Show (Main Stage); Rosaire’s Royal Racing Pigs (Main Midway); Open-Air Thrill Show; High Dive Show; Commerford’s Educational Petting Zoo (Main Midway): Open during Fair hours Animal rides are available, but are not free.

2. Jazams’ Summer Block Party

4. Bee Day at Hanson Park in Cranford

Grant Stiles from Stiles Honey will be sharing his knowledge of bees with his presentation, “Fundamentals of Beekeeping and the Importance of Honey Bees in Our Society.” Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy the beautiful surroundings as Mr. Stiles answers all of your questions about these important pollinators. He is a Certified Master Beekeeper and owns one of the most successful apiaries in the New York/New Jersey area, with Stiles Honey currently managing well-over 4,000 honeybee colonies a year. The event also includes story time and crafts!

On June 23rd & 24th from 11am to 5pm, the Tuckerton Seaport will host its 26th Annual Baymen’s Seafood & Music Festival. Enjoy delicious Jersey fresh clams, crabs, scallops and shrimp from the finest local seafood purveyors. Drink from the brew court featuring local crafted beers. 11. 35th Annual Whitesbog Blueberry Festival
June 23 & 24, 2018 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM
There isn’t many things in life better than attending a blueberry festival, trust us.  SO many blueberries: taste the berries from our neighbor’s farm and take home a pint or a flat, pick berries fresh on the original heritage plants in the fields, eat them in locally made pies, muffins, cakes, jams, preserves, fried, blueberry drinks, blueberry wine, cider, syrup and so much more. There will be Family friendly games, kids crafts, face painting, and eco-activities in the area of the Whitesbog Gallery where the All Blueberry Art Show will be on display. To add, over 35 Crafters and Artists will be in attendance. As for food and sweets, the awesome display will include: BBQ, Pizza, and Rita’s Water Ice. Did I mention the kids Pie Eating Contest?

12. 32nd Annual Red, White and Blueberry Festival

The free-to-attend and park gathering features live music, kiddie rides, a huge classic car show, arts and crafts, stilt walkers, jugglers, and of course the day would not be complete without all things blueberry: pie, muffins, fresh berries, lemonade and even a blueberry pie eating contest.

15. Firefly Festival

The Firefly Festival at Terhune Orchards is here to celebrate the best part of summer, those breezy summer nights. Your family can enjoy an evening of nature, live music, wagon rides, and outdoor fun. The Circus place will also be showcasing their Youth Circus Performance Troupe. Families can also participate in interactive workshops and learn various things such as: juggling, plate spinning, feather balancing, and walking a tight rope. To follow, your family can get a delicious dinner at the food tent. For the kids, there will also be plenty of: pony rides, face painting, and wagon rides through the farm. Parents can also enjoy Terhune’s own wine to sample or by the glass in the tasting room. Join in the celebration and wear your own wings or use our crafting area ($5) to make your own wings, bug boxes, or antennas for your little fireflies. Make sure to stop by and enjoy a flickering, flying, fun evening on the farm.
