Here are 15 things to do this weekend around New Jersey:

1. Salem County Fair
August 7 – 10, 8:30AM – 11PM
Celebrate Salem County’s favorite tradition – the Salem County Fair. Ride ponies with your little ones, watch pig races, take your shot at archery, or check out the Little Miss Salem County Fair Pageant.

2. Somerset County 4-H Fair
August 8 – 10, 10AM – 10PM
The Somerset County 4-H Fair recognizes the accomplishments of 1,000 Somerset County 4-H members. Enjoy over ten tents packed with exhibits and activities including twirling, rockets, magic, go karts, RC cars, model trains, model airplanes, and all kinds of animals.

3. Middlesex County Fair
August 6-12, Weekdays 5PM – 11PM, Saturday & Sunday 11AM – 11PM
At the 80th Annual Middlesex County Fair, explore the county’s rich agricultural heritage, learn a new craft, try a new food, or go on a ride – it’s all in a day’s visit. NJMOM loves: It’s only $1 for children between the ages of 3 and 12.

4. New Jersey State Fair
 August 3 – 12, 10AM – 10PM
One of our favorite summer festivals is back in town – the New Jersey State Fair! During this popular weeklong fair,  your family can enjoy lots of amazing carnival rides, food, crafts, free entertainment, and special features including a Demo Derby and Monster Truck show.

5. Italian Festival of Ocean Township
August 8 – 12, 5PM – 11PM
Mangiamo! One thing’s for sure: there will be no shortage of pasta and cannolis at this event. Celebrate everything Italian with water games, a dunk tank, speed pitch, raffles, and live entertainment. Watch your favorites compete in food eating contests and stick around for fireworks on Friday night.

6. Bellview Winery Seafood Festival
August 11-12, 12PM-5PM
Bring in the dancing lobsters! Visit Bellview Winery’s Seafood Festival, it’s fully equipped with local seafood vendors, live music, wine tasting, sangria, a wide range of local craft vendors, and both seafood and non-seafood dishes. Jam out with “To the Max” Dance Band. For just $5 per child per day, your kids can play on Jumpin Jax Inflatables while you sip your favorite vino.

7. National Night Out in Hammonton
August 10, 6PM – 9PM
Your night out in Hammonton is a night out for both kids and adults. Your little ones will enjoy bounce houses, games, giveaways, live music, food, special appearances, fireworks, a helicopter landing, and tours.

8. Allaire Village’s Mid Summer Flea Market
August 11, 8AM – 3PM

Hunt for hidden treasures amid books, artwork, knick-knacks, and so much more at Allaire’s Mid Summer Flea Market. Once you’re done shopping, explore Allaire’s Historic Village, general store, or fulfill your sweet tooth at the bakery.

9. Rah-Con! Rahway, NJ Comic Book Expo
August 11, 10AM – 4PM
Get your geek on at Rah-Con, NJ’s premier comic book expo. This fun collectibles show features vendors, artists, comic book writers, and special guests from the comic book world. Keep your eyes peeled for Star Wars heroes and villains.

10. 2018 Montclair Jazz Festival

11. Salt Water Day 2018
August 11, 2PM – 10PM
Shop til’ you drop with over 70 vendors, food trucks, and rides. Listen to live entertainment, sip a beer at the beer garden, and face off in corn hole tournaments.

12. Manahopkin
August 11, 12PM – 7PM
New Jersey’s local craft beer and music festival is back at the shore. This “hoppy” festival features over 50 different beers from 25 breweries and the best in local food, vendors, and live entertainment. Support local businesses as you taste their favorite pilsners and ales.

13. Demarest Farms Wine Festival
August 11 – 12, 12PM – 6PM

Nothing is better than great food, entertainment, and sometimes…a nice glass of wine. Meet the winemakers while your family enjoys the music at this fun-filled, kid-friendly, wine fest.

14. Pier Village Family Fun Night
August 12, 5PM
Perhaps a day at the beach followed by a family fun night is in store for this Sunday Funday? Pier Village, located right on the ocean, is home to bounce houses, slides, inflatable obstacle courses, an arcade, and boardwalk games including crane machines and skeeball.
