To help slow the spread of #COVID19, Governor Murphy has ordered a statewide curfew for all residents starting at 8PM tonight he announced this morning. “We want everybody home — not out,” Murphy said. “We’re gonna get through this,” he added. “We’re gonna get through this as one family.” In addition— ALL New Jersey schools will close this Weds March 18th. The impacts to our community are unimaginable, and we’re taking these steps to “ensure we do not overload our health care system.”

ALL New Jersey Schools— Closed
For all parents waiting for the call— ALL New Jersey schools will be closed beginning on Weds March 18th. This includes public, private, parochial, colleges and universities—until it’s deemed by health officials to be safe for in-person classes to resume.
To slow the spread of #COVID19, I'm ordering:
•Closure of ALL pre-K, K-12 schools, higher ed insts. beginning 3/18
•Closure of ALL casinos, racetracks, theaters, gyms
•Closure of ALL non-essential retail, recreational, & entertainment bizs after 8pm

All movie theaters, gyms, restaurants— Closed
In addition— all casinos, movie theaters, racetracks, gyms, and restaurants will be required to close, and remain closed until further notice. Restaurants and bars will only serve take out and delivery services for the foreseeable future.
Governor Murphy ensured that the overall educational and individual needs of students will be met during this closure, including appropriate home instruction and continued access to free and reduced meals.
