River views and lots to explore
Checking into the River House, you’ll first notice the views—everything is geared towards the river, which is just steps away outside. Rooms blend modern style with warm, comfortable touches and earthy tones. Book one with a private balcony, feeling as if you’re on top of the river, where you can spend lazy mornings sipping coffee or sunsets with a glass of wine. And most stays include a show at Bucks County Playhouse, or the Riverside Reads program in partnership with Farley’s Bookshop, where curated books are yours to enjoy during — or after — your stay. Want to explore? Complimentary bikes from the River House X Ride Priority Bicycle Program let you cruise the scenic river trail straight into New Hope for shopping, dining, and a perfect afternoon by the water.

Eat, drink, and be merry
Restaurant Odette’s is at the site of Odette Myrtil’s cabaret restaurant —Chez Odette’s—which brought world-class entertainment to New Hope in the 60s and 70s. The steakhouse vibe, with generous views of the Delaware River (book a table outside on the deck for a romantic dinner à deux), is the kind of place where you can dine every night and still find something new. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Odette’s features fresh lobster, steaks, handhelds, and classics like Veal Parmigiana, along with delicious cocktails (espresso martini, anyone?) and an extensive wine list. After dinner, make your way to the Piano Lounge, which features a two-story loft with a stone fireplace, and settle into the plush armchairs while listening to entertainers who have long made New Hope their home. Or skip the formal dining scene and head to The Roof, an elevated experience for members and hotel guests accessible only with the Prohibition password. This 1970s-inspired bar and lounge scene captures New Hope’s artistic influences, and did we mention the seasonal cocktails and views from above? It is one of the best spots to see New Hope at sunset from above while enjoying delicious cocktails and appetizers like Oysters and Tuna Tartare.

Hop on two wheels with the Ride Priority Bicycle Program (free for guests) and explore New Hope. Don’t miss the PNC Arts Alive Outdoor Sculpture Project, New Hope Arts, Bucks County Playhouse, and The Free Library of New Hope and Solebury. There are also loads of boutiques down Main Street with clothing, locally produced bath products, curated wine selections, incense, and vintage finds. Be sure to check out other delicious dining options, hiking and biking trails (we recommend Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve or the historic Towpath), and even lazy river rafting. Not into biking? Take a walk over the bridge crossing from PA to NJ to visit the charming town of Lambertville. Stop by for a drink at the swank Boathouse Bar, and stop by the Antiques Center at the People’s Store, with 50 dealers and artists, in a building dating back to 1839.
