Get your insta posts ready—tulips in NJ are beginning to bloom, and you can find fields of these beauties rivaling the ones in Holland here in the Garden State. These colorful tulip fields are the perfect spots to take in the beauty of nature, cut a bright bouquet to bring home, and just take in the rolling countryside and think you’re somewhere far, far away. The fields will open as early as April 1, so make sure you purchase tickets now since spots are known to sell out before the end of the month. Dalton Farms

Opening for the 2023 season on March 30th, Dalton Farms offers acres of pinks, yellows, reds, and purple tulips in NJ for strolling, picking, and picture taking. Beyond the blooms, the farm is open 7 days a week, and on the weekends, there is live music, food trucks, wineries, and even a farmers’ market. Tickets are on sale now, and make sure you check out the farm on April 1, 2, 8, and 9, where the Easter Bunny will be roaming the fields for photo ops, culminating in an Easter Egg Hunt on April 8. And with stems at $2 each or 10 flowers for $10, you can bring home a beautiful bouquet to admire.

Holland Ridge Farms

The largest U-pick farm for tulips in NJ, thousands flock here each spring to fields that mimic an experience in Holland. The farm starts selling tickets in early April (opening day is contingent on weather and the blooms) and lasts just until May, offering rows of colorful tulips for unforgettable insta moments and picking at $1 per stem. There’s also food with an onsite bakery, ample picnic spaces,  a petting zoo, cows, pony rides, and of course, those enchanting views. This year, enjoy a weekday picnic at the farm when you bring your own food and non-alcohol drinks during the Tulip Festival. There will also be even more Dutch bikes and gorgeous new photo ops for tulip season—and if you want to get a specific color, check out their interactive map.

Snyder’s Farm

Is there a better way to brush off the winter blues than in a field of colorful tulips? Nope, we don’t think so, either. Spend your weekend at Snyder’s Farm starting mid-April and pick your own tulips for $1 a stem. Don’t miss the U-Pick Tulips and Craft Fair on April 29, where you can enjoy 50+ craft vendors, food trucks, lawn games, and a bounce house.
Tickets: The entry fee is $5 per person 3 years old and up; a wagon ride to the picking field is included in the entry fee
