It’s time for strawberry picking in NJ, and while the season is short for picking (mid-May through June), it’s chock full of family fun. Besides picking fresh strawberries off the vine, many farms have festivals and lots of kid-friendly activities, making for a whole day outing. Keep in mind that because it’s hard to pinpoint the exact date strawberries are ripe for the picking (and recent cold weather snaps haven’t helped), you should call or check the farm’s website before making a plan.
