A family reunion inspired Pleasant Valley Lavender Farm in Washington State, known as “the Lavender Capital of North America.” Starting with just 150 lavender plants, the Pleasant Valley Lavender Farm is home to about 2,000 plants on nearly ten rolling acres of land. Pick your own or shop dried lavender, body scrubs and balms, lavender for baking (yes, it’s a thing), and more in their gift shop. During the 2024 season, the farm is open for u-pick, plant, photo sessions, events, and product sales.

Hidden Spring Lavender/Alpaca Farm & Gift Shoppe

Hidden Spring Lavender Farm is known for its original lavender products, which feature farm-grown lavender in the gift shop. These include lotion, soap, aromatherapy, sachets, neck pillows, essential oils, arrangements, wreaths, dried lavender, and gift baskets. From now to November, this lavender farm in NJ is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. They are currently taking reservations to walk an alpaca on their alpaca farm or for a photo shoot among the lavender fields.

Orchard View Lavender Farm is a private residence that welcomes the public on Fridays and Sundays to their serene oasis, providing an escape from stress. With 1,300 plants and both French and English cultivars, Orchard View encourages meditative and quiet strolls throughout the fields. After, stop at the gift shop for baked lavender treats, artisan products, lavender bundles, fresh and dry, and lavender buds. For the 2024 season, they will be open from May-December.

Mad Lavender Farm

Mad Lavender Farm nods to Lewis Carroll, the creator of Alice in Wonderland, by injecting a dose of fun into its creations at this lavender oasis. Once you get to the farm, you can shop artisan products, take goat yoga classes, sip on lavender lemonade, and take in the aroma of seven varieties of lavender, all grown organically without chemicals or pesticides. The farm has pick-your-own lavender from mid-June to early July and does require reservations, so book ahead. They also book private events such as private family picnics and private photography sessions.
