Like craft brews before it, small-batch distilleries are having a moment in New Jersey mixing up handcrafted whiskeys, bourbons, vodkas, rums, and gins. And visiting one is an experience—you get a behind-the-scenes look at how spirits are made, cozy tasting rooms to try the locally-made gins, vodkas, and bourbons, a curated and inventive cocktail menu, as well as a place to hang out (think beer garden meets winery).
