Northern NJ campgrounds

Kymer’s Camping Resort
Located in the Kittatinny Mountains, this camping resort has four options for visitors – park model rentals (houses for families of 2-6), cabins, luxury tent rentals, and, of course, tent/trailer campsites. Spend your days swimming in the Olympic-size pool, playing disc golf, tennis, or basketball, challenging the fam to a game of miniature golf, or watching the kids on the playground or splash pad. New this year, there are 50 AMP campsites available. Upcoming themed weekend events include the July 4th Weekend, the Luau Weekend, and the Dinosaur Weekend. The last day of the season is October 31.

Sun Retreats Pleasant Acres Farm RV Resort
Located on a working farm, this is one of the campgrounds in NJ with modern amenities, and it has everything from an arcade and miniature golf course to swimming pools, a fishing lake, a dog park, a playground, and sports areas. And let’s not forget the animals—kids can learn to milk a cow and shear a sheep. There are family cabins, pet-friendly spots, and RV areas available on-site. The resort also has fun weekend activities, from craft fairs to chili cook-offs and swim parties. Also, check out their sister property, River Beach RV Resort, in Mays Landing—the sites close for the season on October 19.

The Great Divide Campground
This campground has 270 pet-friendly RV and tent campsites – in wooded and open areas – and cabin rentals for visitors who want modern amenities like a full kitchen, home theater system, electronic fireplaces, and central air conditioning. There is a private lake for fishing and boating, a swimming pool, a basketball court, a game room, a playground, and a camp store. Don’t miss the Great Divide Barn events, such as Pirate Weekend, Christmas in July, and Homecoming Weekend. The season ends on October 13.

Central NJ campgrounds

Butterfly Camping Resort
Located about 11 miles from Six Flags Great Adventure, this is one of the campgrounds in NJ with RV and tent site rentals and cabins. The campsites are in 30-foot by 40-foot areas with water, electricity, cable, a picnic table, and a fire ring. There are rustic, deluxe, and cottage options for cabins that sleep a max of six (no pets allowed). Your kids will love the weekly Saturday events, including kid crafts by the pool, a sundae social, and monthly activities. The last day of the season is October 19.

You can choose how to stay at this campground in NJ—rent a cabin, rent an RV, grab a tent site, or book an RV campsite with full hook-ups. The best part is that attractions like Six Flags Great Adventure and the Jersey Shore BlueClaws are not far away.

Southern NJ campgrounds

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts – Tall Pines and Cape May
With two locations in Southern New Jersey (Elmer and Cape May), Woodland Acres offers rustic cabins, modern amenities, and RV rentals. Family activities include a splash park, swimming pool, a gaga pit, and inflatable play centers. These campgrounds in NJ host upcoming event weekends, including a Chocolate Lovers Weekend, Christmas in July Weekend, and Tailgate Celebration, as well as frightfully delightful Halloween weekends to close out the season. The season runs through October.

Atlantic Shore Pines Campground
If you want to be near the beach, Atlantic Shores in Tuckerton is an ideal spot to get the best of both worlds (shore and forest). The site offers full hook-ups, camping cabins, lodges, and seasonal site rentals, and beachgoers can take a 15-minute trip to Long Beach Island (beach badges are available on-site). Make sure to try out their volleyball court and swimming pool, and sign up for family-style games like Water Wars and Pirate-themed weekends.

Baker’s Acres Campground
This campground in NJ is spread over 60 acres and has 300 shaded campsites (ranging from primitive to electric, water, and cable site hook-up options), RV rentals, cabins, and cottages. Families will appreciate the amenities catering to kids, such as a playground, arcade room, bocce ball courts, and volleyball. Check out the map, which guides you to the best photo op areas (get ready for an insta photo dump). Don’t miss the annual Fish Fry weekend, featuring a concert with local live bands, Christmas in July Weekend with holiday fun, and a Vegas weekend with family-friendly casino-style games for everyone. Four Seasons Family Campground
Situated in the Delaware River Region of South Jersey, all campgrounds on the property have 100 amp electrical service, water, a picnic table, and a fire ring. There are three cabin options for visitors: the Trapper Cabins sleep four comfortably but are rustic (a water spigot is on-site), while the Homesteader Cabins and Rancher Cabins sleep four comfortably and offer modern amenities. There is a swimming and fishing lake with a beach, an arcade, sports courts (volleyball and basketball) with sports equipment available (softball, volleyball, basketball, and soccer), a playground, and a dog park. Upcoming event weekends at this campground in NJ include Pirates in Paradise Weekend, Out of this World Weekend, Wet and Wild Weekend, and more. The last day of the season is October 31.
158 Woodstown-Daretown Road, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098

Ocean View Resort Campground
Located on 180 wooded acres between Atlantic City and Wildwood, this campground has 1,173 campsites equipped with electricity, water, sewer, cable TV, and a fire ring and picnic table. Cabin and cottage rentals are available (no pets allowed). The site offers a swimming lake, a kid-friendly splash park with a giant pirate ship and water slides, a game room, tennis courts, a pool, a catch-and-release pond, a mini-golf course, and more. A tram car is available to take campers around the resort. Upcoming activities include a sunset lake movie, candy bingo, a magic show, and a kids’ movie night. The season ends in October.

Sea Pirate Campground
Whether you are looking for a cabin, cottage, RV, or seasonal site, this West Creek campground has it all, plus it’s only minutes from Long Beach Island. From their Wet and Wild Weekend to Magic Science Week to Crab Fest, there are plenty of things to keep your family entertained. The grounds are open until October.

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: South Jersey
When you book a stay at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™, Yogi and friends are there on your arrival, ready to pose for photo ops. The site has a cabin, tent sites, and RV hook-ups, and is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your furry kids at home. Splash in the swimming lake, cool off in the pool, try Gem Mining, and bounce high on a jumping pillow on the grounds. There are also boat rentals, a floating obstacle course, and fishing for the family. The grounds are open until November 9.
