It’s our nation’s 250th birthday! And to celebrate, NJ is bringing out the red, white, and blue to a bunch of patriotic and celebratory events this summer. Bring the family for a fun day of patriotic cheer including live music, kid’s activities, over 20 food trucks, fireworks, and more at the Star-Spangled Spectacular in Leonia, take in the afternoon and evening of patriotic festivities like food vendors, games, family entertainment, and live music at Celebrate America 250 in Augusta, or watch the Somerset Patriots play four games this season as the Somerset Semiquincentennials. Middletown America 250
Starting in May
Ready for some patriotic fun with the family? Head to Middletown starting in May for events like Sandy Hook During The Revolution, a fun block party, a community history fair, and a special 250th concert.

Spring Concert: Happy 250th, America!

Celebrate America’s semiquincentennial with the family. The event includes Gould’s American Salute and Locklair’s Second Symphony (“Independence Day”), along with music of Wagner, Sousa, Ives, and Aaron Copland’s stirring Lincoln Portrait with special guest narrator Tom Jardim.
