Catch the last week of Mr. C’s Train Exhibit in Roseland, learn how to tap and collect maple sugar at Howell Living History Farm in Hopewell, or hit the trails for a pre-spring guided walk at Huber Woods Park in Middletown.

If your littles are into trains and tired of their sets at home, make sure you check out this beloved train exhibit during its last week (it ends on Saturday). Kids can work the controls and make the trains move through light-up villages.

Ralph’s World Music Performance

The whole fam will love to dance, sing and rock out with children’s entertainer Ralph Covert in your living room. Whip up treats to go along with Covert’s performance—he’ll be singing songs from his hit album At the Bottom of the Sea. Your donation will help the State Theatre’s family programs.

The Great Winter New Jersey Camp-In Camp Out
February 26th at 6 PM – February 28th at 11 AM
Who said you couldn’t camp out this winter? The whole family can have a blast during this virtual Girl Scout Camp-In from the comfort of your own home. There will be a full day of activities, including Women in History trivia, a winter survival skills lesson, a campfire singalong, and a dance party. Participants will also receive one or two special patches.

Maple Sugaring

If your kids are curious about how maple syrup goes from tree to the table, bundle up to head to Hopewell for a maple sugaring collection. You’ll be hands-on with the farmers to collect sap in the woods, make syrup, and taste some delicious, whole wheat pancakes. You can also learn how to bring this process to your very own backyard—it’s a messy but deliciously satisfying job.

Register your kids, gather your craft materials (they’ll send you a list after registration), and learn how yellow-bellied woodpeckers get food from a sugar maple tree.
