If you ever wondered how birds fly stop by Plainsboro Preserve’s Feathers and Flight, check out hand crafted goods at the Annual Crafters Marketplace at John Witherspoon School, learn how the Lenape Indians lived through sampling of activities such as story time, boogie down with Princeton County Dancers at their family barn dance, and stop by NJ State Museum to hear a story titled Henry’s Map and a few map activities! 1. 42ND Annual Crafters’ Marketplace
Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This well-established, juried show exhibits more than 90 artisans and their handcrafted goods. Held annually the weekend before Thanksgiving, it draws more than 2,000 shoppers from the surrounding communities. Proceeds from this event support the YWCA Princeton’s Pearl Bates Scholarship Fund which provides financial assistance for participants in YWCA Princeton programs.

2. Hiking Like the Lenape
Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM
Experience a sampling of Lenape activities from storytelling to games, followed with a demonstration of fire-making technique – without matches of course.

3. Feathers and Flight
Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2:30 PM-4:00 PM
Ever wish you could fly? We will examine bird specimens, bones, and feathers and try to uncover the secrets of flight, including: aerodynamics, airfoil, uplift, and feather design. After some intensive indoor investigation we will head outside and try our hand at making things fly.

4. Family Barn Dance
Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM- 5:00 PM
The Princeton Country Dancers present a family barn dance with square dances, contra dances, play party games and other traditional American dances; it’s great fun for the whole family, from young children to parents and grandparents. The dances will be led by caller Janet Mills with live music provided by the Mixed Age Dance Band. Musicians of all ages and abilities are welcome to join the MAD Band – there is a rehearsal immediately before each family dance.

5. Story Time
Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM
Join us for a story and craft as a great way to remember the fun you had at the Museum! This weekend it’s Henry’s Map – A delightful introduction to maps and map making, follow Henry the pig as he makes a map of the farm including all of his animal friends. Enjoy some map activities including a floor puzzle of the United States, coloring a compass rose and making your own map. Your family can make a game of finding all of the maps on display at the Museum.
