Flemington Opa! Greek Festival
September 6 – 8
Celebrate this weekend with Greek music and folk dancing, authentic Greek food and pastries, carnival games and shopping. Whether being Greek runs in your family’s roots or you’re just opting to celebrate for the day, this festival will have you cheering “Opa!” all day long.

Asbury Park Oysterfest

It’s a festival of all the Jersey shore essentials, including seafood, music, beer and wine. Combine that with an ocean view, and you’ve got one amazing must-see event. Across from the Asbury Park Convention Hall is where you’ll find the Asbury Park Oysterfest, where you can celebrate seafood fare and oysters, beer tents and even a wine tent from Tavernello’s “No. 1 Wine in Italy.” The Asbury Park Brewery will have its own tent and feature local Asbury beers. #NJMOM Tip: Friday night is “Asbury Park Open House Night,” which means free entry for your family!

Sparta Renaissance Festival
September 7 – 8 & September 14 – 15
You’ll shop all things Renaissance at this fair, which offers celtic jewelry and artwork, flower crowns, fairy wands, pottery, gourmet food, live entertainment and so much more. Wow kiddos by checking out the jousting field, where you can watch a live sword fight before your very eyes. Be sure to dress in your best Renaissance attire.

2019 Wild Outdoor Expo
September 7 – 8, 10 AM – 4 PM
This free, public event provides conservative information, education and hands-on activities with over 100 vendors for kids and their fams. So if free activities like archery, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and rock climbing sounds fun to you, this outdoor expo is definitely worth checking out. Enjoy being outdoors with your littles and stop by the food trucks for lunch or a snack.

South Jersey Apple Fest

Featuring everything apples, the South Jersey Apple Fest invites you to the farm for a fun day with your family. Shop arts and crafts, watch the Little Miss Apple Fest Pageant, listen to live music and enjoy tons of food. Your littles will go nuts over the hayrides, apple toss, apple mascot and kids crafts. Oh, and did we mention that you get a free apple with admission? Score!

NJ Taco Festival

The 4th annual NJ Taco Festival is a must for any and every taco lover out there—whether it’s from Taco Bell or your mama’s authentic cookbook. This event boasts all-day, non-stop taco party action. There will even be judges that rate patrons’ tacos, presented among five different categories. You and the family can jam to live music, watch pepper and spicy taco eating contests, root for your favorite tacos and even watch a Chihuahua beauty pageant.

Downbeach Seafood Festival
September 7, 11 AM – 7 PM
This festival transforms Ventnor Beach into a seafood lover’s dream, featuring approximately 25 different local and regional seafood restaurants (plus more) who are ready to serve up their favorite seafood dishes. Your littles will love the pet costume contest and “Playing in the Street Kids Zone”, which features bouncy rides, sidewalk chalk and Giant Jenga. The Atlantic City Aquarium is hosting a touch tank zone at the festival as well, so kids can meet starfish, stingrays, sharks and other aquatic life. Don’t forget to stay for the South Pacific Island Dancers’ exciting performance!

Doggie Dash and Splash at Morey’s Piers
September 8, 9 AM
We can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday other than being on the beach, in Wildwood, with a bunch of dogs running, playing and swimming. At the Doggie Dash and Splash, a doggie dash race will be held in the morning on Wildwood beach, followed by a puppy pool party throughout the day. Morey’s Piers will donate $5 from every registration to Team Foster, a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to pair service dogs with veterans suffering from combat-related disabilities.
