Get ready to climb, explore, and honk the horn at Touch-a-Truck. This hands-on event lets kids and adults get up close to big vehicles, from fire trucks and motorcycles to heavy machinery. You’ll find Touch-a-Truck events all over the Garden State—some are free, while others support local causes. Kids can climb aboard, do arts and crafts, and even meet community helpers. Here’s where to find Touch-A-Truck events in NJ
North Jersey
In honor of Autism Awareness month, Touch-A-Truck will take place in the City Of Clifton with interactive vehicle displays, arts, crafts, face painting, and opportunities to meet a variety of first responders on May 10, 2025.
If you’re in North Jersey, Ridgewood will be hosting a Touch-A-Truck event at Little Ivy Learning Center on May 15, 2025 with a Safetytown Kiddie Car Driving Track and a special Truck Storytime hosted by the local library.
Jump in a bouncy house, see a live band, and over 50 trucks at the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany Touch-A-Truck event on June 14, 2025.
Central Jersey
Red Bank Middle School will hold the Monmouth Daycare Center Touch-A-Truck event with trucks, arts and crafts, carnival games and even a magic show on May 24, 2025 for the whole family.
Head over to Neptune and hit the siren on a fire truck, try on emergency gear, board a school bus, sit in the driver’s seat of an ambulance, and climb a rock wall at the Touch-A-Truck in Neptune on July 13, 2025.
The 4th annual Charlotte Joy event will host the largest Touch-A-Truck event on the east coast and all proceeds will go to benefit children battling cancer on October 4, 2025.
South Jersey
Several fire department, EMS, and police department vehicles will be available at the Mansfield Township event and it’s free to attend on May 17, 2025.
South Jersey will be hosting several Touch-A-Truck events, Mount Olive will have live demos, RC car racing, fire trucks, construction trucks, and an inflatable slide on June 14, 2025.
In the fall, Diggerland USA will host EMS vehicles, heavy machines, firetrucks and more at their Touch-A-Truck event on September 20, 2025.
