Want To Help Make A Change? Support These Local Black-Owned Businesses [UPDATED]

Share the love

The past month’s protests and social media pauses have shown us how important it is to stand in solidarity and fight for racial equality. But words aren’t always enough—showing support with our actions is a way to make a change. One small but significant way is to support local black-owned businesses, which like all local businesses have been hit hard by COVID-19, but even in flush times, they may lack the advantages of funding due to discrimination. Spending your dollars equally also promotes economic diversity and helps to break systemic racism. To that end, we put together a list of NJ businesses by area with recommendations from @verybessie, @gracesonde_ @jerseygirltravels, @andrea.her, @cookskitchn, and ShoppeBlack.us. Did we miss you or one you know of? Click on this form and we’ll make sure to add it. Also, check back for updates regularly, as well as keep refreshing the list as it grows.
