Christine Kedves and Kelly Staszczak never imagined they would open up their dream coffee shop during a pandemic, but when COVID happened, they followed through with their plans, and haven’t looked back since. Despite opening jitters and uncertainty, Batch on Main has been a success these past two months, thanks to community support and their unwavering commitment to their vision. That’s why we’ll be sitting down with Christine and Kelly for our weekly check-in and chat series on Instagram LIVE. They’ll be sharing what it is like to start a business during this difficult time, as well as offering advice about how to do it for any other #NJMOMpreneurs considering a new venture right now. Head over to our Instagram page on Tuesday at 8:30 PM and click the live button on our logo. Send a quick hello in the comments, tell us how you’re doing, or ask us a question—we’d love to hear from you.
About Christine and Kelly
With several years of experience in the coffee and restaurant industry between them, moms Christine Kedves and Kelly Staszczak had a dream of opening a local coffee shop and cafe. That vision has become a reality—in just 2 months, Batch On Main in Manasquan became the go-to spot for yummy bakery treats, delicious organic food, and creative coffee drinks named after each of their kids. To open during a pandemic has been challenging, but through hard work and a passion, they have found success. Both Christine and Kelly have plenty to say about what it takes and will be sharing with us how they have leaned on each other, what they’ve learned about business, and what they’ve done to build support and reach out to the community over these last few months.
