At this northern shore spot with 4 locations, kids ages 7-15 will want to be a part of the weeklong Kids’ Surf and Ocean Safety Camp, where they’ll learn ocean, surf, and life skills. Younger kids (age 4-6) can learn about surfing, ocean safety, and wildlife—while building their confidence—during the weeklong Keiki Surf Classes. Coastline Adventures Surfing School
This surfing school offers one- to two-hour private, semi-private, and private group surf lessons, as well as adaptive lessons. For a class atmosphere, sign your kiddos up for surf camp: Kids’ Surf Adventure Camps are offered for one or five days, or if you have daughters, the Girls Only Surf Camp builds confidence and camaraderie in the water. This surf school has camps for all ages and abilities, focusing on having a good time and overcoming fears. Girls Wave Riding
This all-female surf program focuses on personalized private and small group lessons—you can sign your daughter and three of her closest friends up—and is customized to your learning pace. They have two or three lessons a day, so it’s recommended to register in advance to get your preferred day.

Founded by professional surf coach Nicole Pratt, this school offers camps and classes for all skill levels. Sign your kiddos up for a two-hour daily Kids Camp or Grom Squad, which are hour-long camps with one-on-one attention and lower tides for littles. Have your fam learn from a pro—this surf school is run by world-famous, professional surfer Dean Randazzo (nicknamed “The Jersey Devil”). Sign them up for a three-day or five-day Kids Surf Camp in North Wildwood or Ventnor Fishing Pier, where they’ll learn surfing basics, ocean safety, and more. The school also offers hour-long private and semi-private lessons in both locations (North Wildwood and Ventnor Fishing Pier). The Sandy Avocado Surf Camp
The entire fam can do these surfing lessons—each lesson starts with a yoga warm-up and safety instructions, then catches waves along the shore, depending on each skill level. Surf’s Cool
This surf school sees surfing as more than a sport—it’s a way to relieve stress and stay healthy. They offer private surf lessons for up to 10 people, so you can learn together as a family (they teach littles as young as three years old). You’ll learn about safe surfing, how to pick your board, and more. By the end of the first lesson, your kids will be confident about catching waves and getting out on the water.

Pink Pineapple
At this all-girls surf school, there’s an emphasis on empowerment through surfing. In addition to the Surf Camp (ages 8-13), the girls create surf art inspired by their time in the ocean. If your daughter loves surfing, have her try out for the Fall Grom Team (ages 9-14). They practice twice a week for four weeks in September, where they develop their craft and build their confidence.

Kids will be stoked to take a surf lesson here, which brings Aloha vibes to Wildwood and is run by a local who spent time surfing all over the world. They’ll learn about safety and surfing on land first, and then they’ll head into the water and have an hour to catch waves. Watch them learn by themselves in a private lesson, or join them in the water for a group lesson. Surfers must be at least five years old.
