Get ready to create magical memories with a timeless performance of The Nutcracker at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Sunday, December 16th at 2PM and 7PM.

This must-see family show will leave your little ones in awe as they follow a little girls’ journey through a fantastic world of fairies, princes, toy soldiers, and an army of mice.

The National Ballet Theatre of Odessa has received critical acclaim for it’s performances throughout the world, and now we get to experience this magical performance right here in New Jersey.

Here are 5 reasons you need to see The Nutcracker at NJPAC:

1. The Nutcracker is a perennial favorite of generations of children

Complete with sparkling sets, your littles will be amazed by the enchanting costumes and mesmerizing choreography of Tchaikovsky’s classical composition of The Nutcracker with more than 55 performers. There’s no better time than the holidays to start building fun family traditions that will get passed down for generations to come.

2. It’s the perfect time to take your little ones to their first (or fifth!) live ballet

The Nutcracker is a treasured holiday adventure much like taking your little ones to their very first live show. The Nutcracker at NJPAC will have your little ones dreaming of sugar plum fairies and toy soldiers for the rest of the holiday season.

3. You have your pick of shows: traditional or hip hop

NJPAC is giving you two chances to get your Nutcracker fix this holiday season. On Sunday, December 16th, attend a performance of the traditional Nutcracker or check out The Hip Hop Nutcracker on Friday, December 14th. The hip-hop performance offers an urban spin on the traditional show featuring rap legend Kurtis Blow as the MC.

4. Build memories with your little ones

‘Collect memories, not things’ as we like to say. Add dinner at Nico Kitchen + Bar, NJPAC’s on-site dining location, and ‘dinner and movie’ has taken on a whole new twist. This will be a night they will talk (and talk) about for a very long time.

5. It’s right here in our backyard

The grass is not always greener on the other side, and this has never rung truer. Enjoy this world-renowned performance of The Nutcracker right here in our own backyard without crossing the river, fighting traffic and wasting time (and money) paying tolls.

Tickets to The Nutcracker at NJPAC are available on Ticketmaster, with the option to purchase parking in advance on the NJPAC website for the 2PM and 7PM shows.

Psst! We love seeing your adventures with the family around New Jersey. Don’t forget to hashtag #NJMOM and tag @njmom and your little cuties could be featured in our next photo round-up.

This is a sponsored post, but everyone loves the Nutcracker. ♥️
