This FREE event will not only show off the latest fashions in shades of red but also feature family-friendly fitness classes, crafts, blood pressure screenings, and, most importantly, give info on how to stay heart healthy. And everyone who attends gets a chance to enter to win a $500 mall shopping spree, as well as take advantage of special offers from participating stores. Fun family activities, screenings, and shopping sprees
The festivities kick off at noon with events for the whole family. Kids will want to join in on the family fitness sessions, friendship bracelet workshops, and face painting. And don’t forget to bring along their favorite plushie so they can stop by the Teddy Bear Clinic for a teddy tune-up. For moms, Sharan Mahal, MD, a cardiologist at RWJUH Somerset and member of RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, and Sanjukta Sanyal, MD, a cardiologist at RWJUH Somerset and Medicor Cardiology, will discuss the symptoms of heart attacks in women and strategies for good heart health. Plus, everyone can take advantage of the free blood pressure screenings. At 2 PM, you’ll want to grab a seat in Center Court, where heart survivors and health care practitioners will walk the runway modeling the latest fashions in shades of red from the shops at Bridgewater Commons. And the best part? When you attend the Go RED Fashion Show, you will be entered to win a $500 shopping spree to any of the participating shops in the fashion show and will receive special offers to use at the mall to shop after the show.
What to know before you go
Head to Bridgewater Commons in Bridgewater on Saturday, February 17, starting at 12 PM for the Go RED Fashion Show & Family Health Festival. The FREE family activities will be happening on the Lower Level from 12 PM-3 PM, along with the blood pressure screenings. At 2 PM, the Fashion Show hosted by stylist Leslie Patrizio will be in the Center Court, Lower Level. Free seating is available, but it is first come, first serve.
