It’s officially Jack O’Lantern season, so why not get in a spooky mood this week with lots of Halloween themed things to do with the fam. Admire the festive pumpkin and haunted decor in the Girl Scouts Drive-Thru Boo Bash in Kinnelon, dress up and trick or treat at Heaven Hill Farm Trick or Treat Trail in Vernon, or catch a Halloween Double Feature Drive-In at Bellworks in Holmdel.

Girl Scouts Drive-Thru Boo Bash 
October 25th, 4:10 PM – 7:30 PM

Get the whole family together and join the Girl Scouts for their first-ever drive-thru Halloween celebration. You’ll see festive Halloween-themed displays, and everyone can vote on their favorite at the end. Kids will also receive a fun patch and goody bag as a souvenir.
$20 per vehicle—pre-registration is required

Heaven Hill Farm Trick or Treat Trail and Costume Contest
October 25th, 12 PM – 3 PM

It’s time to get a creative costume—dress up and head to the farm, where the littles will pick up lots of goodies at the Trick or Treat Trail, and partake in the farm-wide costume contest. You can also make this part of a full day at Heaven Hill’s socially distant Farm Harvest Event with the purchase of a ticket.

Jeff Boyer’s Big Bubble Bonanza VIrtual Halloween House Party
October 25th, 4 PM
Gather round the laptop to enjoy a science experiment and spectacular show all in one with Jeff Boyer and his bubbles. Experience volcano bubbles, dancing bubbles, bubble rollercoasters, and a fish in a bubble— these are bubbles to the max and will have your kids talking about them for days.

October 24th, 4 PM – 6 PM 
Can’t trick or treat this year? Get the kids in their costumes and mask up for a haunted trail scavenger hunt. There will be candy and a few surprises along the way and don’t leave without a pass for a future laser tag or skating sesh at the Middletown Sports Complex.

Historic Smithville’s Monster Bash
October 24th, 10 AM – 6:30 PM  
The ghouls and goblins will be out at this creepy zombie walk that gives you the chills and thrills at every turn. Join in by dressing up and entering the costume contests, carve a few scary Jack O’Lanterns, peruse the vendors, grab a bite at the food trucks, or spend a day exploring Historic Smithville.

St. Demetrios Feast Day Fundraiser Weekend
October 24th, 12 PM – 7 PM
October 25th, 12 PM – 5 PM
Before the weather turns chilly, bring the family to this outdoor feast where you can be Greek for the weekend. You can stop by to try the delicious Greek food like souvlaki, Greek fries, and Spanakopita, dance to the DJ on-site, or order your feast ahead and pick it up to bring home for the night—Opa!

Double Feature Drive-In Movie
October 23rd, 7 PM – 10:30 PM
Head to the drive-in for a double treat of Halloween classics—delight your younger kids with Spookley the Square Pumpkin’s adventures or get the older ones laughing at the antics of The Goonies. Your whole crew can watch one or both movies, all from your car.
$15 to see Spookley the Square Pumpkin, $25 to see The Goonies, $35 to see both
