Asparagus might not be everyone’s favorite vegetable, but this festival is sure to make anyone who’s afraid of their greens fall in love with this quirky veggie. There will be freshly grilled asparagus, gem mining, gold rush activities, a fossil adventure, wagon rides and much more for the whole family.

5. Spring Drum Circle Event

Spring is all about sights and sounds. Families are invited to the Historic Smithville and Village Greene to dance and rum in this fun-filled event along with Herban Legend. If you have a percussion instrument, feel free to bring it and drums will be sold by local vendors if you need one. There will also be henna body art and tarot card readings.

6. Feis at the Beach
