It’s almost summer, and we’re so ready with lots of outdoor family fun this month—oh, and did we mention it’s all FREE? Relax on your beach towel or chair and watch free movies with the fam on the beach at Jenkinson’s Movies on the Beach in Point Pleasant Beach, head to the beach for live music, free surf and kite lessons at Beachstock in Margate or give your kids a chance to dress up as fireflies and enjoy a fun interactive show at the Firefly Festival at Terhune Orchards in Princeton. Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 39th Annual Greek Festival

Bring the whole family to watch Greek dance performances and fireworks on Thursday and Sunday nights. There will even be amusement rides (for a fee), Greek food, and free parking.

Concert for Young People: Peter and the Wolf
June 2 at 7 PM and June 3 at 8 PM
Bring your crew with a blanket and chairs for this free outdoor concert for the whole family at the Perkins Center for the Arts. Conductor Kenny Bean leads Symphony in C in Prokofiev’s tale of Peter and the Wolf, about a fearless boy, a cautious grandfather, a duck, a bird, and a hungry wolf, combining masterful storytelling with musical themes joined by actor Michael Boudewyns to spark the imaginations of young and old alike.

Colts Neck Community Band – Concert in the Park

Bring your family to enjoy an evening of music and fun with the Colts Neck Community Band at the Thompson Park Activity Barn, Lincroft. The concert features lighthearted classics and American favorites. Indoor seating is available or bring a lawn chair.

Kids Fishing Derby

The early bird gets the worm at this fishing derby with a free lunch and a casting contest for kids. There will also be awards and goodie bags. Open to ages 5-15.

Haddonfield Skirmish
June 3 at 9 AM
The British will invade Haddonfield just like they did 244 years ago and face opposition from the Continental troops in this reenactment. There will be a Yelling contest, colonial dancing, and character reenactors. Festivities start at 9 AM, and the skirmish begins at 2 PM.

West Cape May Strawberry Festival
June 3 at 9 AM
Get ready for a delicious festival that’s about all things strawberry. There will be vendors, live music, glitter tattoos, pet portraits, hair braiding, and, if weather permits, real turtles who eat strawberries (yup, you read that right). The rain date is June 4.

46th Annual Hungarian Festival
June 3 at 10 AM
Where else can you see a folk dance performance and cultural programs and sample Hungarian foods? The Hungarian Festival has vendors, exhibits, live music, and folk art for the whole family to enjoy.

Fairy and Pirate Festival

Old Time Baseball Game

Watch Howell Farm’s two teams play by 19th-century Town Ball rules and invite visitors of all ages to step up to the plate as “Striker” and face off against the “Thrower.” There will also be a baseball scavenger hunt for the kids at 11 AM.

Sparta Day 2023

Walk, Run, Stroll, Dance 2023

Save the Monarch Butterfly

Jersey Pride – NJs 31st Annual Statewide LGBTQ Pride Parade
June 4 at 12 PM 

It’s New Jersey’s annual statewide LGBTQ pride celebration with a free parade of entertainment and headline performers that kicks off at noon. After, join the festival (a $10 entrance fee), and don’t forget to bring a non-perishable item for the food drive.
The parade route begins at Town Hall and continues to Cookman to Grand to Sunset to the festival grounds at Sunset and Ocean, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

Climb Time at Turkey Swamp Park

Stafford Township Founders Day 2023
