Spring is here (yippee), and to celebrate, there are a bunch of fun spring things to do to get the whole family excited. Experience the breath-taking beauty of 5,000 daffodils and a parade at Allentown’s 2nd Annual Daffodil Days in Allentown, watch trucks roll by at the 3rd Annual Truck Parade in Cranford, or grab a basket and hunt for the thousands of eggs scattered around the Count Basie Fields at The Great Red Bank Egg Hunt in Red Bank. Easter Bunny Train Ride Kid Friendly TTD NJ Mom

The Easter Bunny Train Ride & Easter Egg Hunt

All aboard—take a trip on the Easter Bunny Train Ride and visit with Mr. Bunny on the train. Your ride will wind along the scenic Delaware River, leaving from the Historic District of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, to Carpentersville, home of the historic Lime Kilns—the oldest and largest left in existence in New Jersey, dating to before the Revolutionary War. After you take a picture with Mr. Bunny, grab your baskets and head to the pretty glade in front of the kilns, where kids can hunt and gather candy-filled eggs before getting back on the train.

Lambing at Howell Living History Farm

It’s spring and time for lambing season at Howell Farm. Kids will love hearing about the flock of period Romney-Suffolk sheep and might even see a lamb born. You will also see how horses shed their winter coats and farmers work in the fields.

Black River & Western Railroad – Easter Bunny Express

Hop on over to the annual Easter Bunny Express, where the whole fam can take a train ride that stops in Ringoes, snap photos with Peter Cottontail, and then go on an egg hunt (don’t forget to bring a basket).

Duffield’s Easter Bunny Visit

The Baby Expo

The Great Red Bank Egg Hunt
