Finally, it’s June, and we’re ready to welcome summer with lots of free things to do with the fam this month. Celebrate everything Greek at the Taste of Greece Festival in Tenafly, hop onto a real fire engine at Touch a Truck in Hillsborough, or watch authentic South Pacific Island dancers on the sand at Beachstock in Margate. Agora Festival Cherry Hill
June 2-5
It’s the “Largest Food and Wine Festival in the Delaware Valley.” The signature event of the Agora Greek Festival kicks off with all-day festivals of food, wine, music, and dance.

Bring the whole family to watch Greek dance performances and fireworks on Thursday and Sunday night.  There will even be amusement rides (for a fee), Greek food, and free parking.

Taste of Greece Festival Tenafly

Everyone is a little greek at this lively event, featuring performances by a dance troupe, cathedral tours, and live music for the whole family.

Kids Fishing Derby
June 4 at 5 AM
The early bird gets the worm at this fishing derby with a free lunch and a casting contest for kids. There will also be awards and goodie bags. Open to ages 5-15.

Haddonfield Skirmish
June 4 at 9 AM
The British will invade Haddonfield just like 244 years ago and face opposition from the Continental troops in this reenactment. There will be a Yelling contest, colonial dancing, and character reenactors. Festivities start at 9 AM, and the skirmish begins at 2 PM.

West Cape May Strawberry Festival
June 4 at 9 AM
Get ready for a delicious festival that’s about all things strawberry. There will be vendors, live music, glitter tattoos, pet portraits, hair braiding, and, if weather permits, real turtles who eat strawberries (yup, you read that right). The rain date is June 5.

44th Annual Hungarian Festival
June 4 at 10 AM
Where else can you see a folk dance performance, cultural programs, and sample Hungarian foods? The Hungarian Festival has vendors, exhibits, live music, and folk art.

Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Presents Summerfest 2022

It’s the 32nd Annual Summerfest in the Park! The Festival will feature live music, food trucks, craft vendors, and inflatables for the kids. The rain date is June 5.

West Orange Annual Street Fair

Touch- A- Truck (Middlesex Borough)
June 4 at 12 PM
It’s an interactive, hands-on event hosted by the Middlesex Public Library and Middlesex Dept. of Public Works. Where your littles can hop behind the wheel and learn about dump trucks, garbage trucks, and skid steers, there will also be STEM Activities, crafts, a DJ, face painting, an ice cream truck, and more.

Jersey Pride – NJs 30th Annual Statewide LGBTQ Pride Festival
June 5 at 12 PM 

It’s New Jersey’s annual statewide LGBTQ pride celebration, and it’s the 30th Anniversary. There will be a pride parade, headline performers, food, arts and crafts, exhibits, community information, and activities for the entire family in the “Family Zone” located at 5th and Ocean Aves. The parade is free; however, the entrance to the festival is $15.

Skimmer Festival

The festival will begin with a Seaside Vendor Craft Market along the oceanfront Promenade, and the Skimmer Food Court will be open in front of Excursion Park. Inside Excursion Park, there will be live music and free family activities. There will also be free amusement rides from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Margate Beachstock
June 25 at 8 AM
Head to the beach for a full day of children’s activities, live music, an air circus single line, and stunt kite demos and lessons. There will also be food trucks, volleyball, South Pacific Island Dancers performing on the sand, a beach nature walk, special characters, an evening movie, a bonfire on the beach, and a live band performance. The rain date is June 26.
