Hey, spring, you’re finally showing us your colors—and with a bunch of family-friendly things to do this weekend, we’re making the most of the glorious days ahead. Look up in the sky and see all the kites flying at the 8th Annual Pier Village Kite Festival in Long Branch, enjoy one of the many Earth Day celebrations in Roseland, Ringwood, Princeton, and other locations throughout the state, and take insta-worthy pics while you pick tulips at the Holland Ridge Farms Spring Spectacular in Cream Ridge. The Northeast Coalition Earth Day Celebration Week
April 19-21
Join the Official Earth Day Celebration at Crane Park in Montclair. Volunteers will gather for cleanups on Pine Street, Erie Park, Brookdale Park, and Glenridge Avenue (behind the Bay Street Train Station). The celebration will continue in and around Crane Park until 2 PM with music and other family-friendly activities.

Holland Ridge Farms Spring Spectacular
April 19-21
It’s peak tulip season, and Holland Ridge Farm is blooming with over 8 million tulips in 15 varieties. Head to the weekends of their Spring Spectacular (now through the end of April) to see farm animals, learn about Dutch traditions, snap gram-worthy photos, take a pony ride, sample delicious foods, and pick a bouquet of tulips.

Earth Day Celebration in Cape May
April 20 at 10 AM
Cape May County Park & Zoo will co-host its Earth Day Celebration, where the whole family will experience hands-on educational exhibits, children’s amusements, live entertainment, a variety of environmental eco-shops, and a scavenger hunt.

Outdoor Adventures Family Program: Upcycle

Learn about upcycling and doing our part to protect natural resources. This program is entirely outdoors, weather permitting, and the Education Team will guide you through an interactive learning experience.

Party Like It’s Your Earth Day

Head out to Marven Museum and Garden and party like it’s your Earth Day! This festive day of community action offers something for everyone, including Historic Garden tours, native seed crafting, free bike repairs, yoga provided by Gemma from Gratitude Yoga, gently used toys provided by R+K=Smiles, and much more.

Fur Baby Festival

Together with the friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, you will help to find forever homes for some amazing dogs, cats, and other small animals. This event will feature 15+ food vendors, live music, games, a pet costume contest, and much more.

Grayrock N Roll Spring Festival

Over 60 vendors, food trucks, face painting, a DJ, and an acapella group will be at this lively festival. Rescue groups with dogs, cats, and kittens up for adoption will be there. There will also be sanctuary horses, goats, pigs, and chickens.

Bring the kids to get free art lessons. This series of six free children’s art classes will occur every Saturday in the spring with a professional artist at the Noyes Arts Garage. These classes will begin on March 16 and run until April 20.

Five Star Swim School Play and Swim Moms Group
Now-May 30
Moms, Dads, Caregivers, Babies, and Kids are welcome to the Play & Swim Moms Group at Five Star Swim School, where parents/caregivers can bring their children to have fun and socialize. Homeschooler groups are welcome. Thursdays – from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The pool is open for swimming from 10 AM to 11 AM, and a lifeguard is always on duty.
