Mother’s Day weekend is here (cue the applause), and to celebrate Mom (aka you), we’ve got a lineup of fun things to do with the family all weekend long. Spend the day among the bright blooms with local craft vendors, music, and food at the Annual Azalea Festival in Hamilton, celebrate nature with scavenger hunts, art activities, and more at National Public Gardens Day at Macculloch Hall in Morristown, or take in all the memorable Mother’s Day events happening including face painting, a pancake breakfast, kids’ activities, and more. Mother’s Day Bloom Weekend at Renault Winery & Resort
Spend Mother’s Day weekend at Renault Winery at their Bloom Market and Brunch. Mother’s Day at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk 
Celebrate Mother’s Day this year at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach. Moms receive FREE admission to the following attractions on the boardwalk with a paid child admission – Rides, Aquarium, Mini Golf, Fun House, and Adventure Lookout Ropes Course during open hours on Sunday, May 12th. This event is weather permitting and please note opening hours vary by attraction.

Astronomy Observing Session
May 10 at 8 PM
Have a little one in your family who is interested in the sky? Head outside and look up at the stars through telescopes that the STAR Astronomy Club will set up. Make sure you dress accordingly.

This fun event is a great opportunity to teach little ones about sustainability and will feature kid-friendly activities including a community art project, live entertainment, the future of fashion, and more.

Creative Arts Festival
May 11 at 10 AM
Spend a day perusing artists at the juried arts festival. Works will be displayed in all mediums, including pottery, jewelry, photography, and painting. There will be live music and food vendors.

Annual Azalea Festival

The Annual Azalea Festival is back again. Spend the day among the bright blooms with local craft vendors, music, and food. Moms can receive free family portraits from 10 AM to 4 PM. The rain date will be May 12.

National Public Gardens Day at Macculloch Hall
May 11 at 10 AM
Celebrate National Public Gardens Day in MHHM’s historic garden. The garden will have special presentations, nature scavenger hunts, and art activities. Then, at 10:30 AM, see the Eyes of the Wild Nature Presentation, followed by The Seeing Eye Puppy Presentation at 11:45 AM. This event is rain or shine.

Branchburg Food Truck and Music Festival
May 11 at 11 AM
Live music, ax throwing, kid’s activities, face painting, inflatables, knocker ball, games, sand art, and spin art will be featured at the festival. The best part? Three animatronic Dinosaurs will be on display for people of all ages to interact with, sit on, pet, feed, and play with. Don’t forget your lawn chair.
Cost: $5; children under 5 are free. Please bring an item for the food pantry.

Mother’s Day Weekend Arts Retreat at Appel Farm

Homeschooler groups are welcome. Thursdays – from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The pool is open for swimming from 10 AM to 11 AM, and a lifeguard is always on duty.
