1. Somerset Patriots 2017 Fan Fest
Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM
Fan Fest with the Somerset Patriots kicks off spring and the upcoming baseball season! The whole family will have the chance to meet and get autographs from baseball legend Sparky Lyle along with many fantastic activities like: playing carnival games, face painting, and trotting around the bases. Also, Kids between the ages of 10-15 will be able to interview for the chance to become the Somerset Patriots Kid CEO for the 2017 season. This amazing opportunity gives your child a chance to learn all the ins and outs of running a baseball team. The first 500 kids in attendance will receive a Somerset Patriots Hat, and there will be live music throughout the event! This is a jam packed event your family doesn’t want to miss.

2. Dino Day Family Festival
Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 11:00AM to 4:00PM
The Morris Museum is inviting the whole family to a trip back to the pre-historic times to when dinosaurs roamed New Jersey. This Jurassic event gives kids the opportunity to handle real fossils, interact with dinosaur experts, participate in a hunt for fossils in the dig pit, and make dinosaur related crafts in the galleries! That’s not all, however, your family will also have the chance to meet Claudia Lemmerz from “Touch the Music” to explore drum instruments of the orchestra. The BASF Kid’s Lab will also have something special brewing, so don’t miss out!

Enjoy a day at Ridgefield Park with some delicious food trucks and fun carnival activities! Your kids can sink their teeth into some exquisite empanadas, gyros, gourmet grilled cheeses, and cupcakes from House of Cupcakes. 4. Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival
April 8, 2017 – April 23, 2017
Kick off Cherry Blossom season and the start of Spring with the start of Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival. There will be a Bike Race at Oval, Northern Division and a 10K Run on Sunday, April 9 from 10am to 12pm. Most importantly, don’t forget to take a walk around the park to see all the trees blooming!

Joining the dinosaur exhibit for this year is a huge Ice Age Stegodon and woolly rhinoceros.
