14 Easter Egg Hunts, Activities & Events In New Jersey In 2021

Hey peeps—Easter is coming, and while COVID-19 may still be hanging in there, Easter 2021 is looking a lot better than last year, with lots of bunny-filled family fun. Your kids can hop aboard the Easter Bunny Express train, go on a hunt for gathering up those pastel eggs or head to a farm for a hayride to meet Peter Rabbit. While the events are going on safely according to COVID-19 guidelines, it’s always best to check ahead for any changes. Scroll down for Easter activities all over New Jersey, which will surely be a festive way to welcome spring.

North Jersey Easter Activities

Easter and Springtime Family Fun at Alstede Farms
March 27th through April 3rd from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The whole family will love taking a scenic hayride around the farm, visiting and feeding baby animals. Littles will also enjoy a touchless Easter egg hunt, exploring the farm with a scavenger hunt, and seeing the Easter Bunny too.
Tickets are $16.99 and must be purchased in advance

Black River & Western Railroad – Easter Bunny Express  
March 27th and 28th and April 3rd from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Hop on over to the annual Easter Bunny Express, where the whole fam can take a train ride that stops in Ringoes, snap photos with Peter Cottontail, and go on an egg hunt (just don’t forget to bring a basket).

Easter Bunny Train Ride and Easter Egg Hunt
March 27th and 28th and April 3rd timeslots from 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Littles will love riding the Easter Bunny train along the Delaware River. When you reach your destination, there will be an Easter egg hunt ready for your little one with a photo op and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Liberty Hall Museum
April 3rd, first session at 10:00 AM second session at 12:00 PM
Littles will love to hunt for eggs on the grounds of Liberty Hall. And the word is there will be a surprise visit from a certain bunny for photo ops.
Tickets are $5-10, and space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Fun-Filled Easter Egg Hunt
April 3rd from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
This fun day will have carnival rides, egg hunts, a bonnet contest, hayrides, face painting, gem mining, sand art, and pony rides. Find the golden egg in the hunt and win a prize. Some events are free, and others have a fee; check the website for the most updated information.

April 4th various sessions between 12:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Roll away the day at this festive Easter Sunday event. Each session includes admission, a skate rental, a slice of pizza, a glow stick, and appearances from the Easter Bunny and friends.

Palmer Square’s Spring Bunny Visits
Saturdays and Sundays, March 20th through April 2nd from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
While you are out shopping the Square, keep an eye out for Palmer Square’s Spring Bunny—he plans to hop all around town. Make sure you catch him and snap some photos for the gram.

Egg Hunts on the Farm
March 27th and 28th and April 2nd and 3rd from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM 
Hunt around for eggs, snap photos and visit with the farm ducks, chickens, cows, goats, and mini ponies. Tickets include fun zone admittance, photo ops, a box/basket, and an egg hunt.

Battleview Orchards Annual Easter Egg Hunt
March 27th time to be announced with a rain date of March 28th–Keep checking for event updates.
This annual event includes over 4,000 stuffed eggs hidden around the orchard but may look different this year due to COVID restrictions (updates are pending, please check the site for more information).  Admission is a non-perishable item that will be donated to a local food bank or you can make a cash donation. In the meantime, pick up a coloring sheet at their country store throughout March to enter in a contest to win a prize.

19th Century Easter Celebration
April 3rd from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Celebrate the village’s opening for the spring season with 19th-century demonstrations that include woodworking, blacksmithing, hearth cooking, and Easter egg dying. There will also be many Easter activities like a scavenger hunt, bonnet decorating, an egg roll competition, and more.
Tickets must be purchased in advance, and admission is $8 per person; kids under 2 are free.

Johnson’s Corner Farm Egg Hunt Hayrides
March 19th – April 3rd Weekdays: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Weekends and Good Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM every 15 minutes
Stop by this farm for a festive hayride and hunt. After your hunt, visit with Peter Rabbit and create some sweet treats decorating rabbit and egg-shaped cookies (kit is $8 for 2 cookies). And make sure you visit the barnyard animals after—admission is half-price with egg hunt tickets.
