Here are 10 kid-friendly things to do around New Jersey this weekend:

Jurassic Quest
December 28, 3PM – 8PM, December 29 – 31, 9AM – 8PM
Jurassic Quest is the largest exhibit of life-size, moving, museum-quality dinosaurs in America. With some of the dinos walking around and looking at visitors, this event is fun for all ages. Bring your littles and don’t worry, there are interactive baby dinosaurs putting smiles on everyone’s faces. This event features themed rides, inflatable mazes, slides, a dinosaur petting zoo, and plenty of fossils to dig up.

Winter Wonderland fun at Morris County School of Glass
December 28, 10AM – 5PM
At the Morris County School of Glass, your littles can make their very own winter glass snowmen! With the help of instructors, each participant makes a glass ornament, snowman, or Dreidel. It’s a beginner’s class introduction to glass blowing.

Emoji Party
December 28, 12:30PM – 1:45PM
Bring your littles age 3 – 10 for an emoji party at Just Bead Yourself. During this event, your littles choose their favorite emoji and then create a necklace or backpack pull/keychain with it. Afterward, the group will play emoji charades.

Mellow Mushroom Snow Family Event
December 29, 11:30AM – 1:30PM
Gather the family for an all-ages event at Mellow Mushroom in Toms River. Spend the night together with your loved ones painting your own “snow family”, led by a professional artist and party host. No experience is necessary and of course, order as much food and drink as you like. Mellow Mushroom’s pizza is to die for, and they’re personal pies – easy to eat and fun for kids.

AP Punk Rock Flea Market
December 29, 10AM – 5PM
Stroll around Asbury Park’s historic Convention Hall for a market that is truly like no other. The AP Punk Rock Flea Market is a curated selection of vinyl, music equipment, vintage clothing, macabre artwork, handmade jewelry, and other unique finds from over 125 vendors. Your littles can stroll along with you and make their way upstairs to watch local bands play live during the event. Get your dancin’ shoes on!

The Harlem Globetrotters
December 30, 6PM
This one-of-a-kind show is a must-see with your family. The Harlem Globetrotters jump, dive, dunk, and soar through the air, making the craziest basketball shots we’ve ever seen. Back this year with the acrobatic trampoline dunk team, these star-studded athletes will keep both you and your littles on the edge of your seats.

Liberty Science Center: The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes
Through May 27, 2019
Head back to Sherlock Holmes’ London during this exhibit at the Liberty Science Center. Your littles can go on an adventure to solve their own case but also learn how Sherlock Holmes solved mysteries in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books. Crack the case using your best judgments, follow footprints, and find missing items.

Christmas Underwater at Adventure Aquarium
Now through December 30 
Dive deep into the big blue sea with your holiday favorites at Adventure Aquarium. Scuba Santa is back this year to greet visitors through the glass and take selfies with each child. Not only is this home to the World’s Tallest Underwater Christmas Tree, but it’s home to the World’s Smallest Underwater Christmas Tree too. RSVP for milk and cookies with Santa.

Wonders of the Night Sky
This ongoing exhibit is a part of LSC’s Jennifer Chalsty Planetariums’ Educational programs (did we mention it’s the biggest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere?!) During Wonders of the Night Sky, for grades  K-12, your littles can learn all about different things involving New Jersey’s night sky on the night they attend! Topics include Day and Night, Phases of the Moon, Reasons for the Seasons, Planets, Eclipses, Meteor Showers, and more.
