Live music, street performers, and the chance to taste test some awesome chili and salsa is all going down in Toms River this weekend. Don’t miss out on the 27th Annual New Jersey State Chili and Salsa Cook Off—one of the largest food contest in New Jersey.

4. Spring Food Trucks & Fire Pits at Laurita Winery

Laurita Winery is having its very own food truck festival all weekend long. The event will include kid friendly events such as a huge playground, a bouncy house, face painting, live music, a country line dancing area, and over 30+ food trucks.

5. 39th Annual Bordentown Street Fair

The street fair will take up the entire Farnsworth Avenue which means that there is an endless amount of entertainment, food, and vendors for the family.

6. Butterfly Festival

7. Boat Show and Armed Forces Day

Spend the day honoring our armed forces for Armed Forces weekend. There will be a boat show debuted by local boat owners and the chance to witness tours, demonstrations, and an educational presentation about the U.S. military. For the kids, the event will host a variety of activities such as model boat building, knot tying, magnet fishing and more.

9. Curious George: The Golden Meatball
May 22nd, 2016 | 1:00 PM + 4:00 PM
Curious George is making a stop at the Bergen Performing Arts Center. Curious George, a lovable little monkey, takes part in the All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day by helping his friends cook the best meatballs, but the crowd who is supposed to eat them have gone to another meatball vendor. In this performance of friendship and determination, Curious George helps out his friend and enters the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome.

10. Paint Your Own Fairy House

Tinkerbell is hoping that all of her little helpers will attend the Learning Express Toys craft event this Sunday. On top of that, children will be creating their very own Fairy House.
