50+ Spring Festivals and Fairs in NJ 2022


Spring is here and we’re happy to report that after a two-year pandemic break, festivals are back on. So take a deep breath and get ready to soak in this season of family fun through April, May, and the first part of June. See early April’s cherry blooms at Bloomfest in Newark, check out local artists at Art in the Park in Hawthorne, watch the high-flying spectacle at the International Kite Festival in Wildwood over Memorial Day weekend, and enjoy food, racing, and games at the Irish Festival in June at Long Branch. Wheaton Springs 2022
April 2 at 10 AM
Celebrate the start of WheatonArts’ creative season with this free kick-off event highlighting their many daily offerings and hands-on programming. Discover a series of hands-on projects to create, including pine-needle basket making, macrame rope keychains, and glass-fused magnets. There will also be food vendors and live jazz music.

Ocean City Con 2022
April 2-3 at 10 AM
Join comic book and memorabilia enthusiasts in Ocean City. There will be special guests, artists, vendors, comics, games, and more. There will even be a Super Hero Run and Dash and Super Hero Obstacle Dash.

Tenafly Street Fair
April 2-3 at 11 AM
Come out to the first of the street fairs of the season. There will be artists, crafters, food, rides, and demonstrations.

So Fresh Fest
April 2-3 at 2 PM
It’s an outdoor health and wellness festival coinciding with cherry blossom season in Essex County Branch Brook Park. There will be yoga, portrait stations, sound healing, meditation, movement, healthy food, and music.

Springtime and Easter Festival at Alstede Farms
April 2-19 at 9 AM
Join the spring fun with Easter activities, including a hunt, hayride, evergreen maze, and giant hay pyramid. There will also be pony rides, wagon train rides, and a bounce house available for an additional purchase. The Tomasello Winery Outdoor Patio will be open for tasting and purchases.

Allentown Daffodil Days Festival
Now-April 3, times vary
Kick off spring at this first annual festival celebrating the 2000 daffodil bulbs blooming throughout town. Learn how to plant daffodils in your garden, peruse the library book sale, and have your kids make daffodil crafts.

First Annual Atlantic City Mardi Gras
April 3 at 12 PM
This all-day event for all ages event has something for everyone. There will be an opening performance by a Philly Mummers String Band, vendors, food, music, and a costume contest for the kids and adults, ending with a crowning of the Atlantic City Mardi Gras King and Queens.

Dalton Farms Tulip Festival
April 9-10

Tiptoe through the tulips to live music, food trucks, a wine and beer garden, and even yoga. The Easter Bunny will be roaming the fields for photo ops. And with stems at $1 each, you can bring home a beautiful bouquet to admire.

Red Bank Battlefield Spring Festival
April 9 at 12 PM
Step into a day of history and family fun at the annual Red Bank Battlefield Spring Festival, with games and crafts for children, a petting zoo, and colonial demonstrations of food and unique vendors.

Spring Fling Family Fun Day in Sea Isle City

It’s time for some Easter fun and dress to impress at the Easter Stroll, enjoy music, take photos with the Easter Bunny, participate in a Jelly Bean Guessing Contest, try Easter crafts, and more.

Grayrock N Roll Spring Festival
April 23 at 9 AM
Over 60 vendors, food trucks, face painting, a DJ, and an acapella group will be out at this lively festival. Rescue groups will be there with dogs, cats, and kittens up for adoption. There will also be sanctuary horses, goats, pigs, and chickens.
Cost: Admission is Free ($5 parking fee to help us care for and feed the animals)

Bound Brook Food Truck and Musical Festival
April 23 at 11 AM
Food, music, family, and fun. This event will feature 15+ gourmet food trucks, live music from 3 bands, pony rides, a petting zoo, knocker ball, hatchet throwing, face painting, kids activities, vendors, and more.
Cost: bring nonperishable canned or boxed items to help support the food pantry and $5; kids under 5 are free

BaconFest at Laurita Winery
April 23-24 at 11 AM
It’s an outdoor, fun-filled day of relaxing fun on the grounds of Laurita Winery. Pair wine with the many delicious food offerings available from onsite food trucks. There will also be live musical artists, free parking, a face painter for the kids (1 PM-4 PM), fire pits, and fireworks (Saturday evening).

Renault Winery 5 Miler and Food Truck Festival
April 24 at 9 AM
Enjoy the beauty of the vineyards as you run this flat 5-mile course at New Jersey’s oldest active winery. Refuel at the after-party featuring live music, food trucks, and lush surroundings for you to enjoy. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall finishers and the top 3 in each age group, including kids under 15.

Paramus Food Truck Festival
April 24 at 11 AM
Kick-off the season with food, music, and fun. Over 20 Gourmet Food Trucks, music, pony rides, petting zoo, knocker ball, hatchet tossing, inflatables, face painting, sand art, vendors & a beer, sangria & margarita garden for the adults. Don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets.

New Jersey Folk Festival
April 30 at 10 AM
The 2021-2022 festival theme is “On the Move: Transportation and Migration,” which highlights ideas of transportation, migration, and life in motion. This theme is unique to the folklife of New Jersey, a transportation hub where one in five residents is an immigrant.

Rutgers Day

This event is open to the public, and everyone can enjoy exhibits, interactive activities, demonstrations, performances offered by faculty, staff, and students, along with kids’ activities.

Central NJ Empanada Festival
April 30 at 11 AM
There will be food vendors, fun and games for all ages, and a Grand Prix remote control car contest. And don’t forget to vote for the best empanada in Central NJ while you are there.

Bordentown Porchfest
April 30 at 12 PM
Bordentown PorchFest 2022 is a family-friendly event featuring musicians of all genres and styles playing free shows on porches throughout the City. Stroll from porch to porch and relax on front lawns and sidewalks as they enjoy live, local talent. Wildwood International Kite Festival

Kick-off this weekend-long event with a Friday night social and the 9:00 PM illuminated night kite fly. On Saturday and Sunday, come out to watch giant inflatable kites take flight, team flying, and participate in family games. Monday features the World lndoor Kite exhibition inside the Wildwoods Convention Center.
