1. Bang Cookies

These organic, ooey-gooey cookies taste exactly like they look. Indulge in any one of their six classic flavors like Sea Salt Chocolate or Macadamia White Chocolate, or get fancy and go for one of their deluxe flavors like Espresso Chocolate Chunk. Rest assured, you don’t have to live in Jersey City to get Bang Cookies delivered to your door – they offer free shipping nationwide or free delivery to your door if you’re in Hoboken or Jersey City. Nom to the nom!

2. Lexylicious

If you want to enjoy your cookies with ice cream, we found your new go-to spot. Head over to Lexylicious Ice Cream Truck in Toms River and order one of their simple chocolate chip cookies, or step it up a notch with an ice cream cookie sandwich. If you’re lucky enough to call Hoboken home, check out Pier 13 to visit Lexylicious’s adorable pink & white striped trucks starting in the spring. You can also visit one of the many food truck festivals around New Jersey to find their treats. Lexylicious will also cater your next private event anytime, year-round.

3. Glenda’s Kitchen

Glenda’s Kitchen in Atlantic Heights offers more than just an average chocolate chip cookie. Owner Carmen Petruzzelli’s cookies are organic, non-GMO, and gluten-free – and made with a secret recipe passed down from her mother. You can choose between Baby Deanie’s Mini Dark Chocolate Chip, Carmen’s Chipless Cookies, and Dad’s Double Chocolate Chip, among many other flavors including their bite-size cookies which are an NJMOM fave. Be careful though, or you’ll eat an entire bag in one sitting if you’re not paying close attention.

This all started because my sister had to eat gluten-free and my mom wanted her to be able to have a dessert. My friend tried one and said they were the best gluten-free cookies she’d ever had, and that’s when I knew we had something going here.” – Carmen Petruzelli, owner of Glenda’s Kitchen

4. Sweets by Lovey

This roaming baker has more than just cookies. Sweets by Lovey, based in South Brunswick, has cupcakes, cake pops, and all the sweet treats to make everyone in the family happy, but we think Lovey’s ultimate chocolate chip cookie is the one to die for. The inside is chewy and oozes just the right amount of melty chocolate, while the outside has the slightest crispness. Sweets by Lovey can be found at the Princeton Farmers Market and regularly pops up at various events around town, including at Quakerbridge Mall and Princeton Shopping Center. Check out her website for the schedule, and don’t forget – you can also custom order for any occasion.

5. Cookie Rush

Do you want to stay at home and have cookies delivered right to your front door? Cookie Rush in New Brunswick offers over 20 cookie varieties that ever-so-magically appear at your doorstep. Their cookies are made-to-order which basically means you are eating their cookies straight out of the oven. Order one of their Cookie Rush cakes to celebrate any major milestone like a birthday or Super Bowl.

6. Ava’s Cupcakes

Don’t be deceived by the name: Ava’s Cupcakes in Rockaway is a whole lot more than just cupcakes. Along with classic chocolate chip cookies, Ava’s also carries the most decadent chocolate chip cookie sandwiches we’ve ever tasted, which are perfectly filled with chocolate buttercream and then topped off with chocolate sprinkles. Bam, bam, bam!

7. Squirrel and The Bee

Raise your hand if you’re looking for a gluten and grain-free (non-GMO) bakery to give your kids a healthy treat? Squirrel and The Bee in Short Hills might be the answer to your grainless prayers. All of Squirrel and The Bee’s baked goods are free of grains, gluten, GMOs, soy preservatives, and refined sugars (except the chocolate chip cookie, which uses Enjoy Life chocolate chips that contain sugar, but still, we’re not mad about it). Taste it – we know you’ll agree.

8. Sweet Eats Bakery

If you want a big batch of chocolate chip cookies (we’re talking, like, REALLY big), look no further than Sweet Eats Bakery in Voorhees and Marlton. For whatever reason you’d need 2, 3, or 4-pounds of cookies (hey, we’re not judging), Sweet Eats has you covered. Obviously, we’re fans of their chocolate chip cookie, but try mixing up the flavors from the 16 varieties you can choose from. Life is all about balance, right?

9. Becca’s Cookie Bar

Becca’s Cookie Bar continues to wow Long Branch locals with their hand-held treats and vegan and gluten-free options. This home-style bakery serves up a thick and chewy chocolate chip cookie, and is considered a classic for a reason. Get the best of both worlds with a warmed-up chocolate chip cookie during the winter months, or test out the ice cream sandwich in the summer.

10. Insomnia Cookies

A cookie shop that started for insomniacs! When you need that late night cookie, this cookie shop has got you covered. You can order warm, delicious cookies from Insomnia Cookies late into the night and even into the morning. Their gooey chocolate chip cookies are the late night snack you didn’t know you needed. Bonus: There are various locations around NJ including Hoboken and Ewing Township.
