If you are in the Hudson County area, there is good news coming your way— RWJBarnabas Health hosted a ribbon cutting in Hoboken on November 9, 2023, with a multi-specialty, world-class medical center in one convenient location. This new facility at 59 Newark Street offers primary and specialty care services with everything from family medicine to imaging services, increasing healthcare access to families in Hoboken and the surrounding areas with a diverse group of RWJBarnabas Health providers. RWJBarnabas Health, JAG, and NJIN began seeing patients in November, and Labcorp will begin offering services later this month. “Our new RWJBarnabas Health at Hoboken location was born out of an in-depth analysis conducted in early 2020. We knew we needed to address the need for ancillary care services like imaging, eliminating the necessity for residents to travel to New York City for essential services,” says Michael Prilutsky, Executive Vice President of RWJBarnabas Health and President of Northeast Region and Interim President, Medical Group. Multispeciality care for all in one convenient place

The new Hoboken Center houses multiple modalities and practices under one roof, offering family medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, vascular medicine, urology, and obstetrics and gynecological care. Rheumatology, endocrinology, and pulmonology services will also be available. For testing and rehabilitation, there’s no need to go to another location—the Hoboken facility has physical therapy, imaging services, and laboratory testing in collaboration with providers like JAG Physical Therapy, New Jersey Imaging Network, and LabCorp. “The convenience of having all these healthcare services in one location is a game-changer. It streamlines the process for both physicians and patients,” says Vanessa Trespalacios, M.D., Medical Director of Primary Care for RWJBarnabas Health in the northern region. And that’s good news for thousands of Hoboken and Hudson County residents because they won’t have to travel far to get what they need. Thanks to a centralized location near public transportation, the facility provides patients with a seamless trip for most of all their medical needs. “What sets this new facility apart is the emphasis on convenience and accessibility. The Hoboken facility, located within walking distance of the Hoboken PATH station, aims to cater to the needs of residents, offering flexible scheduling options, including extended evening and Saturday morning hours,” says Prilutsky.
